Mark is wonderful! He's never made a copy of a key that didn't work (which I've discovered through trial and error is a rarity in this town). He has one of everything, and there isn't any type of key he can't duplicate. He also has a complex software system that can retain the key codes for each property, so if your tenant ever locks themselves out, you can send them straight to the locksmith instead of having to make another copy of the key, meet the tenant, etc. Highly recommended!

Pros: Very kind, quick, and most importantly he's knowledgeable

I refer anyone in need of a locksmith to Mark. I gave his card to a coworker recently and when they returned it to me later, the first words out of their mouth were, "what a great guy." I heard them later say how "awesome" Mark was to someone else.

I've used Mark's services for years, first when he was located in the Glisan Fred Meyer parking lot, and now at 5711 E. Burnside.

He's knowledgeable, offers various options, and guarantees his work and the keys he makes.

As a small business owner, he is to be commended!

Needed front and rear locks rekeyed after we bought our home. Made the call, he arrived in less than an hour. Very courteous, knowledgeable about our style of locks. Told us the pros of our front door locks. Had locks rekeyed/new keys made in less than 10 minutes. Price was very reasonable. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

I've used Mark's service ("A Good Locksmith") for years, both at his former location (in the parking lot of the NE Glisan Fred Meyer store) and now, at his small shop on E. Burnside.
Mark has always done great work, his keys work, and he KNOWS his profession. Additionally, Mark is always willing to recommend other small businesses who do good work.

While it IS possible to have keys made at Fred Meyer (usually by some untrained employee who happens to be assigned to the key aisle), Mark's work is professional, thoughtful, and well worth the price and even going out-of-one's-way to use his service.

Small, one-owner shops are becoming a rarity, so I think we should support them AND him!

Mark was friendly and offered options on the phone. Bob was here inside an hour and soon I had keys in my hand. They were here when they said they would be and charged what they said they would.
I will use them again and recommend them.

I called A-Good Locksmith this morning and someone just came out to fix our condo complex's broken gabage door. The person arrived on time, was super nice and worked quickly. He had the issue resolved in about 20 minutes time. The cost seemed average, though I didn't discuss charges ahead of time. It was a great experience - especially since I know nothing about locks.

Mark at A Good Locksmith is the best locksmith I have used, and I have used more than a few. My automotive repair shop (PDX Automotive) has been using Mark's services for 15+ years and we have never had a problem. We replace ignition, door and trunk locks as part of our service and Mark recodes the locks to the original key. He is fast and fairly priced. I highly recommend him. BTW- he had to change locations, so is no longer on NE Glisan. His new address is 5711 E. Burnside, the phone number is the same.
