Filing bankruptcy was something that we never thought we would have to do and it was very challenging for us to come to terms with the decision. However, Lyndon Ruhnke's guidance and encouragement throughout this process has been amazing. Every question we had, you answered. Every time we started to panic, you calmed us down.

There were hundreds of attorneys we could have chosen to help us through this process, including family-recommended referrals. This is one of the main reasons we chose you:

I found your firm on Google and called your office on a late Friday evening (I believe it was around 6:30pm). The call was routed directly to your cell phone and you ANSWERED the call. You were driving and you pulled over in order to talk to me. You LISTENED to my issues and addressed each one of them with professionalism and empathy. You didn't have to answer the phone as it was after normal business hours and you didn't have to spend so much time with me on an initial call.

Anyway, we just wanted to make sure you knew how much we appreciate the help and support you have given us throughout this process. We will definitely recommend you and your firm to our friends and family.

I was having trouble with a collection agency that had targetted me for a credit card debt that was not mine. Even though the I had never had a credit card with the account number the collection agency kept threatening me. No matter what I did, the collection agency kept coming after me. It even went so far that the collection agency put a lien on our house.
We were frightened then that we would lose our house so we contacted Baxter & Baxter for help.
They took care everything. We could not have fixed the problem without their help.

In April 2009 I contacted Mr. Baxter and explained my son's dilemma. Having read a very impressive article high-lighting his remarkable successes in issues relating to the FCRA I felt that any advice he might impart could prove invaluable. On April 29th I provided Mr. Baxter with pertinent documentation relating to the issue at hand. The following morning he called me, shared his overall assessment, and explained the fact that he was not licensed in NV and that would preclude his involvement. BUT, that was not the end of the conversation which is so often the case. Instead, he graciously suggested that we consider contacting a professional colleague, Mitchell Gliner, Esq., in Las Vegas, NV. Mr. Gliner proved to be a highly respected and successful specialist in the FCRA field. Today, as a result of Mr. Baxter's kindness and understanding, and Mr. Gliner's untiring efforts and professional expertise, my son possesses an unblemished credit profile. Mr. Baxter will always be remembered and praised for his enviable personal and professional qualities.

"We can not recommend Lyndon Runke highly enough. Lyndon helped us through a very difficult time with professionalism, humor and a genuine desire to help us achieve the best possible outcome. On top of all of this, Lyndon is an expert at what he does. He helped us navigate through a case that had many nuances and intricacies that could have been easily overlooked by a less experienced attorney. He went above and beyond to ensure that we could rest easy, knowing that he had everything taken care of. We enjoyed working with him very much and would gladly recommend him to anyone needing legal services.

When a collection agency came after me for a debt that was not mine, I did not know what to do. I tried everything and nothing worked. I finally had to contact an attorney.
From the start, Baxter and Baxter law firm got results. While I was in the office for my initial consultation, Mr. Baxter contacted the attorney for the collection agency and immediately got the false judgment vacated. It was reassuring to hear Mr. Baxter tell me that it was terrible what the collection agency had done to me. I had felt so helpless because nothing I had done had stopped these people from coming after me.
Baxter and Baxter solved my problems.

We used Lyndon Ruhnke this year as our bankruptcy attorney and received exceptional service. Lyndon is professional and knowledgeable about bankruptcies. Lyndon explained the bankruptcy process and listened to us about our situation. He was informative about how to fill out the forms that were required for the bankruptcy. Whenever we had a question or did not understand the next step in the process Lyndon would always call us back or e-mail us with a response with in the same day. We were nervous about the bankruptcy and Lyndon made the experience as painless as possible. We would refer Lyndon with confidence to everyone we know that might find themselves in the same situation that we were in. We are thankful that Lyndon Ruhnke was a caring and attentive attorney

I retained Lyndon Ruhnke at this firm to handle my Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceeding in 2008. It was handled smoothly, professionally, and without a flaw. I was surprised how easily the process went -- the attorneys did all the work, and my stress was instantly gone after my questions/concerns were addressed at my first meeting. Ultimately, I was absolved of every bit of debt I had hanging over my head, including my mortgages, and the process went better than I could have hoped for. I would highly recommend this firm if you need bankruptcy assistance. Because of Mr. Ruhnkes level of expertise, he can competently and easily handle the entire process and attend the hearing with you. All of your questions and concerns can be addressed at your introductory consultation. I encourage anyone needing bankruptcy assistance to seek them out first. This is a personable and hands-on firm and their rates are very fair. Thanks again, Mr. Ruhnke! P. Kelley in Portland, Oregon

Having to file bankruptcy was a very difficult decision, not one that I decided on lightly. Unfortunately I did not have any other alternative and Im very thankful that I found Lyndon Ruhnke at Baxter & Baxter. I didnt know what to expect or what the process all included, fearful of the unknown. Lyndon put me at ease from my first appointment in the office to the last appointment in the court room. I was more than satisfied with not just Lyndons professional counsel but the entire staff at Baxter & Baxter. What a blessing to find such a top notch attorney and firm in such challenging time in my life. The results were everything he promised and my case was not an easy clear cut situation. I highly recommend Lyndon if you want a positive experience. Thank you Lyndon and the entire staff at Baxter & Baxter for your professionalism.

Filing bankruptcy is a difficult and often painful decision to come to. I had an exorbitant amount of medical bills and there was no way I could claw out of the black whole I was in. Lyndon Runhke was my attorney. He took me through the process swiftly and always made me feel at ease. He always responded to my questions quickly (even when they were very busy). As my case comes to a close, I would like to say that I highly recommend Baxter & Baxter, LLP. In fact, I have already told several friends who were pondering filing bankruptcy about this firm. If you live in Washington or Oregon and you have come to the same painful decision I did, these guys are the best there is. I couldn't have asked for a more positive experience during such a painful time.

Sincerely,
Sarah L. Smathers

Last year my husband and I found it necessary to petition for bankruptcy and we started our search for a bankruptcy attorney who would do a good job and charge a fair rate. We went to an informational meeting with a Portland attorney who stuck some papers in our face for us to sign as soon as he finished his spiel. We didnt know how this whole bankruptcy thing went and we had a certain number of days to answer a lawsuit filed against my husband. So under duress we signed the papers and then his associate started to call to solicit our business and ask us to send in our $500 to start the BK process. Since we were in a hurry to have the attorney file the court paperwork on our behalf we gave them our money. We later found out how much was due and owing and how much they were charging us just to ask simple questions to this lawyers assistant. We also compared prices with some other bankruptcy attorneys in the area and found out that their Chapter 7 bankruptcy prices were equivalent to what other firms were charging for Chapter 13 (a much longer process and much more work for the lawyer) bankruptcies. We decided to look elsewhere and were met with open hostility and then a bill was sent to us declaring that we owed them additional funds way above and beyond the $500. We decided to include these charges in our bankruptcy when we met with our new lawyer-Lyndon Ruhnke. He helped us through the pitfalls of filing for a bankruptcy, answered questions, provided helpful solutions to our problems and the bankruptcy went through without any problems. His prices are fair and he finishes what he sets out to do. Lyndon went beyond his responsibility to us by removing the lien in place against our property after the bankruptcy was finalized. There is usually a separate fee for doing this. We are very grateful to him for doing this for us.
If youre looking for a good bankruptcy attorney in the Portland area then look no further than Lyndon. Hell get your bankruptcy done for you quickly and smoothly without question.I highly recommend Baxter and Baxter.

We had a fairly complex bankruptcy to go through with two businesses, some houses, etc, and had no idea as to how to get through it all. Lyndon walked us through it, and was able to make it a lot less traumatic, and in the end, a smooth process with a very liberating conclusion. Thanks Lyndon. We would recommend Baxter & Baxter, and Lyndon in particular, to any one facing those tough choices.

I retained the services of Lyndon Ruhnke last year for the purpose of filing bankruptcy. I was nervous and clueless about the whole process. Mr. Ruhnke explained everything thoroughly, answered the myriad of questions I asked, and calmed me down every step of the way. The day I had to be in court, I was shaky and he immediately calmed me down upon his arrival. I cannot say enough about how positive my experience was with Mr. Ruhnke and his staff. If you are in need of a bankruptcy attorney, I highly recommend Lyndon Ruhnke of Baxter & Baxter.

My experience with Lyndon Ruhnke of Baxter and Baxter was incredibly positive. Having to make the decision to file bankruptcy was difficult in and of itself, but having Lyndon on the case made everything much easier than I thought it would be.

My case was probably more difficult than most peoples; I had 2 businesses, one of which I wanted to keep and was in the process of renegotiating spousal support. I was also $120 thousand dollars in debt. Lyndons advise and expertise helped me to get rid of all my debt and keep my sources of income.

Right from my initial meeting with Lyndon, I got a true sense of his understanding and compassion for my situation. In working with him throughout the bankruptcy ending with our court date, I got to see his level of experience and expertise as I saw all of his advice working to get the results we were after. I dont think I could have done this without him.

Lyndon was always quick to return my calls and eager to answer any questions I had, no matter how stupid I might have thought my questions were at the moment. I have recommended Lyndon to several friends already and will continue to. Thanks Lyndon!

I, too, had an excellent experience with Baster & Baxter. As a victim of identity theft ranging back to the 1980s, I found myself continually fighting the credit bureaus to clean my credit report of false information. The final straw occurred when I was forced to take my name off the deed of our home because of false information on my credit report. Fortunately for me I found the law firm of Baxter & Baxter LLP who brought a case against Equifax under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. After a weeklong trial in federal court, a jury returned a verdict of $200,000. Best of all, I finally got a clean credit report. I am so appreciative of the outstanding work done by Justin and Michael Baxter not only due to the results of the lawsuit, but because of the personal and caring attention I received. I wholeheartedly recommend the legal services of Baxter & Baxter!

I am a former client of Baxter & Baxter. I hired Justin Baxter in 2008 to help me with false information on my credit report. My case settled recently and I have a clean credit report to show for it. Justin told me that a former employee of his firm has been going around posting fake online reviews to retaliate against one of the attorneys at his firm. It's really unfortunate that she can do that. Don't believe everything you read. When Justin told me about the situation, I was happy to write about my experience. The Baxters are committed advocates for their clients and I would recommend them to anyone.

I recently retained Justin Baxter to sue on my behalf, for violations under federal law. Justin and his Oregon firm, Baxter and Baxter, were able to negotiate a quick and favorable settlement. I highly recommend Baxter & Baxter to anyone who is looking for an attorney to represent them in consumer matters.

In 2006 I retained Justin Baxter to represent me against the three major credit reporting agencies for false and inaccurate credit reporting issues. I knew I was correct about my dispute; Justin believed in my cause and took the case without hesitation. Even with a judgment from the state court, the creditor and the three credit reporting agencies had refused to remove the derogatory information. Within a few months after Justin filed action against the defendants in the Federal Court, my credit was restored and eventually I also received a settlement for my claim of damages. I highly recommend the Baxter and Baxter firm to anyone that is fighting the big corporations and the injustice of our failed credit reporting and rating systems.

After I was severely injured from being rear-ended in a motor vehicle accident, I knew I needed to hire an attorney. I'm so glad I went to Baxter and Baxter. I ended up getting a larger settlement amount than I anticipated, and I had a good experience in the process. I discussed my concerns with Mike Baxter, and he was genuinely empathetic. I felt like I had an advocate on my side. As the case progressed, he addressed all of my concerns that came up and I became familiar with all of the staff at the firm. There are some really nice people that work at Baxter and Baxter. I recommend it for any legal need one might have.

I hired Laura Gardner of the Baxter Law Firm to file my chapter 7 bankruptcy. She did a good job. She really knows what she's doing. She went to the hearing with me and helped answer questions for me along the way.
