I've eaten there one time. The ramen was okay, the waitress didn't seem to want to give me good service even though the place was dead. I've been a waitress for three years...so I know how it goes, but seriously, the service was bad.

I've eaten at a lot of Japanese places and I love ramen. After reading the reviews I thought I had found a gem in my own backyard.

The place is small and dumpy. They really don't care to redecorate or make the place look presentable.

I almost feel like I shouldn't write a review -- I don't want others to know about this great spot. The style is extremely authentic and the food is excellent. This is a family-owned operation and it is clear that they try hard to please their customers.

Most food is served isakaya-style so you will be ordering a lot of smaller plates to share. Don't expect some 5000 calorie American-style super-deluxe meal, that's not what Yuzu is about.

This place is popular -- reservations are a must. The service is friendly and very accomodating. It can be a bit slow when it is full, but that is the nature of this kind of establishment. Not fast-food, slo-food. Come to enjoy and relax.

Expect a clientele of mostly Japanese (but you won't feel unwelcome if you're Caucasian either).

Pros: Authenticity, food quality, relaxed

Cons: A bit hard to find, a tad expensive if you eat a lot

If you are looking for real Japanese drinks and appetizers Yuzu is the place. Good deals on beer. Staff is very friendly. Only open weeknights, not lunch or weekends. Can get really busy. Reservations recommended. Tucked away in a strip mall, a bit hard to find.

The Food here is good. I would recommend the kimchi (I know Korean) Haramaki rolls. They are very good for an appetizer even if you don't like kimchi. They serve more traditional Japanese meals. The only bad part is that they don't serve sushi or sashimi, but the rest of their items are good and have a traditional Japanese flare.

Pros: Traditional Japanese food, sake bar
