I'm amused by all the astro-turfing going on - I suspect they were paying their clients to post positive reviews. Notice the more recent reviews are far more negative.
The services are incredibly overpriced. The constant staff turnover is frankly embarassing. 6 visits and 3 different techs? How is that going to promote good follow-up or results?
It also seems like the aestheticians are more interested in signing you up for additional services than they are in performing the ones you paid for.
I'm dropping them due to their constant calls to reschedule procedures I booked well in advance. I spoke with their team about this and they were completely unconcerend and felt that their same-day request to change my appointment time was completely normal, but if I wanted to call them to re-schedule same day that I would lose the service I paid for.
The only redeeming quality of this facility is the fact that they offer you beer/wine/coffee/water while you wait in the lobby, but given how much they charge it should be top-shelf rather than PBR and white zinfindel.
NEGATIVE ZERO STARS!!!
DO NOT GO TO THIS "MEDISPA" THEY WILL MESS UP YOUR TREATMENT ~ BEWARE!!!
I went here for a botox treatment and Dr. Rajani DID NOT INJECT ME WITH WHAT I ASKED FOR!! I explicitly requested botox and was instead injected with Dysport, which I had never had before. The result of this treatment has been immobilization of half of my face, complete loss of the arches in my eyebrows and all of the orbital muscles around my eyes have dropped 1/2 inch!! I now have cheekbones that are sticking out through the soft tissue that used to be under my eyes, fluid retention under both of my eyes creating a double row of puffy bags and my smile looks down right creepy because only half of my face moves. When I tried to get my medical records from Emerge Medispa I had to call twice myself and had two optomotrists' offices call and was still not faxed any of my mmedical files or consent forms. Finally I went into "Emerge Medispa" personally and Darcy the "office manager" threatened to call security when I asked for my paperwork and gave me a glare beyond glares when I told her I would be picketing outside of her clinic, she had no empathy and wouldn't even take a moment to look at my before and after pictures ~ I later learned from speaking with two of her past employees that this woman has a horrible reputation for being the most fake b**ch you will ever meet. I most certainly agree and I see where she gets this reputation!!! Dr Rajani ~ who is raking in thousands and thousands of dolloars every week refused to take responsibility for the botched procedure claiming "I'm not God", as if this explains away his liability for the mistake along with the rediculous statement "try to think of it as if a third party did this to you, as in, it wasn't me, it was the botox" and kept giving me all sorts of scientific explanations that were meant to minimize his responsibility in this situation. Ultimately, I told him that it was his job to make sure this procedure turned out well and he botched the procedure so he should be the one compensate me. After several requests they finally offered to refund me only the money for the procedure, but said I would have to wait for a check to be sent to me in the mail when I was standing right there in their office and I had paid cash for the procedure in the first place.
If anyone would like to join me in warning the public about the dangers of Dr. Rajani and the very disrespectful attitude of the horrible women he works with ~ especially Darci ~ I will be outside Bridgeport mall in front of Chicos on the Bridgeport Road side picketing throughout the entire Christmas season.
I would be happy to know how many other unsuspecting victims have been affected by the negligence of this clinic and specifically Dr. Rajani. BUYER BEWARE!!!!
Thorough, knowledgeable, skilled, excellent patient interaction, thoughtful judgement.... These are a few of the adjectives that describe my experience with Dr. Rajani.
A physician who specializes in injectables is significant, and brings a high level of care. Having been involved in the medical spa business in the past, I have had the opportunity to witness many different medical practitioners and Dr. Rajani excels. He carefully evaluated the concern (a complication from a procedure elsewhere) that I was having. After thorough discussion of the problem, he chose a somewhat conservative approach and proceeded to correct that problem with skill and expertise. My results were excellent! If I ever have the need for future treatments, I will most definitely choose to see Dr. Rajani.
First of all, yes, I did wait about 6 weeks for an appointment. But, I figured, logically speaking, I would have to wait as at $99 there was going to be a wait. Imagine adding that many (approx. 2600) new clients to your existing client list. It is ridiculous to think you would get in right away.
I never had trouble getting through to the receptionist, or anyone else for that matter. I read all of the reviews before I went for my first laser hair removal appointment. Given that there were far more 5 stars than 1 star, I decided to go. I wish I could give 10 stars. From the moment I walked in, everyone was friendly, accommodating, respectful of my privacy and more importanly, professional. AND, I did not feel I got secondary care or treatment just because I used the $99 Groupon. They answered all of my questions to my satisfaction and walked me through the procedure. They explained aftercare again even though I had already received the information.
I asked about other procedures they offer. The esthetician explained everything in detail. There was no "up-selling" ... no pushing to buy anything at all, ever. They just let me know that they were there and if I had any additional questions to feel free to call them at anytime. And I did. By the way, I did ask about the new trainees. Well, duh, I said to myself after they explained that with that many new clients, they had to hire new people. These are already trained and educated estheticians but they get additional training in the way Emerge does it. A smart move, I think.
I was not sure which additional procedure I wanted so I did make some additional phone calls. I got response either immediately or within an hour. I am SO pleased I even made an additional appointment for another treatment. So, all in all, yes, I will go again. And it is a long drive for me, about 45 minutes one way, and worth it, traffic and all. By the way, I have had other treatments at other facilities so I know what I am talking about.
I wish I could put NO stars.
I am beyond disgusted with Emerge Medical Spa! I was THRILLED to get this Groupon! My 20 year old daughter is mentally challenged and the hygeine of diapers is really difficult. We got a prescription 2 years ago from her doctor for laser hair removal but insurance won't cover it and the quotes we received were up to $1,000!!
Imagine my SHOCK when, after making my appointment, the rep from the spa called back and said their "medical director" would not allow the procedure done!!! They said she "couldn't consent." I explained I was her legal guardian as well as her mom and could consent for her. Then they said "she couldn't communicate about the procedure" and "what if there was a problem" and laser hair removal for her "wasn't medically necessary". What the HECK???
I pointed out the prescription from our doctor. I offered to have the doc call or fax them...
They called back and still said no. They said "we're not a medical facility" and that she should "have this done at a hospital like OHSU"
I wonder how many OTHER purchasers have "not met their criteria" since there are "some patients they won't treat"?? Wonder if they are more willing to work with people spending $750 rather than $99??
Wonder why the heck they have a MEDICAL DIRECTOR , Dr. Rajani, (who is a doctor, or so they say) and call themselves a MEDICAL SPA but won't treat a mentally retarded person because that's too "medical" for them! (We all know mental retardation is a DISEASE,right? Like leprosy???)
DISCRIMINATION against the disabled!! Discrimination against the mentally handicapped!! I would argue that my daughter NEEDS this treatment for her HEALTH, a lot more than you or I would need it just to be sexier or more comfortable.
I plan on complaining to Groupon PDX and also filing a DISCRIMINATION grievance with the Americans With Disabilities ACT. I also will make it my mission to post about this discrimination to every POSSIBLE opinion website and every other venue I can think of. My goal is to expose disgraceful prejudice and also to make people THINK about what people with disabilities face everyday. They wouldn't even MEET with me and my daughter to see how it would go. How dare they!
I would be interested in hearing from anyone else who's had a bad experience with Emerge Medical Spa...there is strength in numbers!
BTW, to those who think it's "good" that there is constantly new staff I would point out that they got $260,000 in just a few days from their Groupon run, more than enough to pad the staff.

Wow, what can I say except Run, dont walk! This is the place to visit if you are looking to take years off your appearance, and inches off your love handles, thighs and abs!! The staff is amazing, and very welcoming. 5 star facility from the time you walk in the door, until you are escorted privately out the back. Dr. Rajani is definitely a cosmetic pro taking years of my face with Restylane filler and Botox. He has sculpted my figure to make me feel confident in a bikini again. Mesotherapy definitely receives an A+ from me! If you are looking to be the best you can be, stop in and let Emerge fulfill those dreams!! Definately will continue to embrace all the services they have to offer and continue on the journey to the new and improved me.
Pros: Fabulous Medical Spa
Cons: None
I'm starting to have a really bad feeling about this place. I have been a customer at Emerge for over 6 months and every time I go in they have new employees. I think that says alot about a business. Also, what level of care are we getting if they are always training new staff?? The more I ask around, the more negative things I hear about this place...Do your research and I don't think you will go back either. I'm going to stick with the original Dr. I had been going to for years. He may be more expensive, but I feel safe and that I'm being taken care of. That itself is worth the extra.
I felt calm and peaceful the first time I walked into this beautiful clinic. The staff was welcoming and sincere. They all had knowledge and information to share with me, and never once pressured me to buy buy buy! I loved Dr. Rajani! He is the smartest most caring cosmetic doctor I have ever met. The way he can see curves and shapes in the face is amazing! I only bought a small amount of services when I was there, but I was treated like I had spent $100,000. I loved that they were so busy because it only confirmed my security and trust in the clinic. I would recommend anyone to Emerge Med Spa in Bridgeport. You will love it!
Pros: Location, Knowledge, Experience, Atmoshpere
Cons: NONE
Emerge Medical Spa at Bridgeport Village is a place that conduct Unethical Business Practices. I highly advice people that are seeking for a medical spa to just say away from this place and don??t stop in are your nightmare will begin. Nice location, nice looking place, nice people at first, and nice can become ugly when you are dealing with Emerge. Don??t be quick to hand over your money to Emerge are you will be sorry. Emerge is place that can??t be trusted because they don??t upheld there ethics or practices as medical office should. Emerge is a place that don??t put there patients first and there bottom line is Money. One word to some up Emerge Medical Spa is Negligent.
If you go against my advice and stop in for a consultation anyway. You will meet Emerge Services Director Joyce the phony of all phony and you think you are going to get some professional advice in your best interest well that will not be the case. She is not qualified to make any recommendations at all and if listen you will be in there trap. Then she would go hi-tech and take you back to a phony imaging computer for your facial, which afterward make you feel like you have serious skin or facial problems that you need to address right away. Joyce will swindle you into buying expensive treatments or packages that a person may or may not need at all. She will downplays the side effect and pain level of treatments or there hot sale Thermage procedure like it is no big deal. She is not going to tell you that IPL treatments need six to eight sections to get the best result or the Thermage procedure have very low success rate. You are not going to hear the truth from them all.
The Doctor the Owner are all part of the Emerge Swindling Crew You Have Been Warn? If you think buying a car from a shade dealer is a bad experience well the people at Emerge will make you think otherwise.
My best advice for people out there is to consult with a Dermatologist first before going into any Medspa.
Nestled in Bridgeport Village, Emerge is the perfect spot for top-notch treatment plus convenience. An ambient environment is provided for beauty needs and relaxation with a smile. Thank you to all the staff. You're Wonderful!
Pros: Skilled and Friendly staff
I highly recommend Emerge Medical Spa. The entire staff (particularly Joyce who I have dealt with the most) is so helpful and friendly. The customer service is impeccable. And, of course, the treatments by Dr. Rajani are wonderful. He has been completely sensitive to my concerns and in my opinion, done wonderful work! I have been extremely happy with the whole experience and will continue to return.
Let me test my breath and confirm that I am in a cognizant state. I had been lost in a delirious dream, enthralled with what my body was show-and-telling me: LipoDissolve really is a long-awaited sweet reality, it really works! I have just completed round three of Misotherapy at Emerge Medical Spa (at Bridgeport Village, one of my favorite places) with Dr. Rajani (smolderingly handsome and charming, one of my favorite doctors).
I had high hopes for Misotherapy. I mean, really, to melt away fat from a problem area you have fought valiantly for an eternity? Could it be? Yes! Dr. Rajani injects the solution into the specified area with a series of tiny shallow shots. Then youre done until the next treatment (a minimum of 3 are recommended). A lifestyle exercise regimen is also recommended to accompany the treatment, as you will see more definitive results.
The beauty of it, though, is that it hyper-accelerates over the physical possibilities by zapping those areas not generally assisted by aerobics or Pilates. Ever hear a trainer say, Ok, now double time on that double chin! Lets go! I thought not. All of my life I have hated pictures of myself because of my chin. After Misotherapy, that particular area of mine was so markedly changed that it turns out I am not entirely unphotogenic. Nor do I have as small a mouth as I previously thought. Pre-Miso, my mother thought the orthodontist of my youth had pulled too many teeth and ruined my only-as-a-mother-can-imagine photographic beauty forever. Not so!
In addition to under my chin, Dr. Rajani sculpted my upper arms and outer thighs. I enjoyed equal success in both areas. Ah, how many more choices there are with sleeveless! How many more pants there are when fitted! Bottom line: Lipo Dissolve administered by Dr. Rajani at Emerge Spa worked. It gave me noticeable and measurable results.
Another service offered is the Intense Pulsed Light. My IPL session was nothing but glorious, my esthetician, Julene, heavenly! I absolutely dozed off at one point. First, we inspected my face with the aid of a digital Visia representation. Here I was able to point out my main concerns, redness and broken capillaries. Julene confirmed that it would be her main objective to tackle those areas & was thrilled to have this task before her. Next, I was snuggling into the cushy, thickly covered space that was to be my bed for a bit, mmmmm. I must mention here that Julene has magic hands and long, strong fingers. Her welcoming neck and upper back massage was a truly joyful release. An ache I had been burdened with for months pleasingly disappeared. The pulsed light itself was not uncomfortable, in fact, it was rather inconsequential. Like the Misotherapy, it delivered the mojo I was looking for.
My last delight so far has been with fillers, like Juvederm and Botox. Doctor Rajani performs these injections using his trained, gifted eye. It is a little pinch here, a poke there, but only one word comes to mind: ARTIST. Everyone agrees. Dr. Rajani really does invoke the art of sculpting into his practice.
Emerge Medical Spa at Bridgeport Village makes for a distinctly memorable outing. It has achieved the iconic stature of the Nordstrom amongst its competitors. Upon entering, Brent or Darcy cheerfully greet me by name, offer me a nice choice of drinks and review my upcoming visit for that day. I am asked to wait a moment; I scan the non-advertised monthly offerings and take inventory of the truffles in the candy jar. With any luck I will get to wave hello to the lovely Joyce. Shes the one who hooked me up with Dr. Rajani in the first place. As I relax in the reception area, I am thrilled about whats to come. Things are looking great for the day! After spending my precious time with the experts, I will Emerge Beautiful.
Pros: Friendly, great specials
Cons: None
Emerge Medical Spa makes you feel welcome and right at home. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with a choice of beverages and if you arrive early enough before your appointment you are free to enjoy their back room relax center which has a massage chair, magazines, music, its awesome. I bought a laser hair removal package so I guess I wouldn't say my experience is ummmm... relaxing. LOL but not because of the estheticians, who are all very kowledgable and do everything to make you comfortable.
At Emerge I definitely feel like I am in good hands.
In general, I highly recommend this place, I even have my family coming!
Pros: great service, relaxing atmosphere, parking just around the corner
Cons: laser hair removal is not relaxing but it is sooo worth it!
It's challenging to know what to think when you read mixed reviews regarding a business or a service, especially when you are new to this type of spa treatment. I can, however, say with confidence that after experiencing the treatment and results from botox, meso and laser hair removal, that I am a very satisfied customer.
I was a newcomer to medical spa treatments, so was nervous at first about embarking upon treatment I had never had before. From the first interaction with Joyce at Emerge, I felt comfortable, well informed and impressed with the amazing customer service. I have been incredibly satisfied and happy with the results from my botox, laser hair removal and meso treatments.
When I met with Dr. Rajani, he was attentive; explaining every procedure, and answering all of my questions with the highest level of sensitivity. Dr. Rajani?s consulting was helpful to me as I selected from the variety of treatments available for my individual needs. The actual treatments themselves were performed with care and explained every step of the way.
The results have been fantastic; I keep going back again and again to maintain and care for the looks I have ? enhanced by the best team in the business.
Many thanks and kudos from a very satisfied customer
Jenlei ? age 41
Pros: Easy parking, great customer service, respectful of privacy, AWESOME results
Cons: None
I have been looking for an upscale, qualified, professional med spa to get some stuff done ever since moving from NY and LA, and hadn't found any up to snuff until this one. It's located in one of my favorite shopping spots, Bridgeport Village...and though a ways away from me (Happy Valley), it was well worth the drive. And afterwards, I can shop to reward myself!
First off, the place is easy to find, as it's right above the store Product, which I'd shopped at before, so headed upstairs. The place is immaculate and stylish-they were very polite and after greeting me, offered me a choice of beverage, wine, coffee, or bottled water. After signing in, I was brought back to a private room with a massage chair to enjoy some music while I waited to consult with the doctor.
I felt very comfortable discussing my interests with the staff, and noticed that they were very knowledgable in different products and their success in different areas of use. After discussing everything I wanted, they started to work.
While I'll admit I am not the easiest to please, I will say that it was a pleasure visiting them and I am VERY pleased at the results. I would highly recommend them, and will be visiting again. If I had one complaint, I would say that they were hard to find, so do some advertaising, you guys! Thanks Emerge-
Pros: Great, knowledgable service-friendly staff, fantastic results
Cons: hard to find unless you know they're there
Staff Additions at Emerge are Great Sign!
Emerge has an extremely high standard of patient care and requires the highest level of skill from our team members. All team members complete intense trainings and certifications regardless of their experience in this industry. Recently, we have expanded the number of team members; therefore, there are new faces, but we also have team members that have been part of our team for years. A new face should not impact the level of care you receive at Emerge. It should enhance your experience.
Pros: Growing and thriving business.
Cons: New faces for existing patients to meet.
I spent several thousand dollars at this medical spa. The initial greeting was filled with absolute "verbal" assurance that after having several treatments, including the lip treatment, followed by Thermage that my skin would be much tighter and generally have better tone. First of all, the Thermage treatment ,as was administered to me, was very painful. Secondly, my skin was not in bad shape- just a few wrinkles here and there. Most importantly, it worsened the wrinkles on entire face and created a much degraded look in general. I have since seen 2 other dermotologist (not medical spas)who state that if not administered exactly right- Thermage can actually attribute to severe skin damage. Unfortunately, this is my case. Possibly the most disturbing fact about this spa is their reluctance to admit that their promises fell short. Basically, when I approached the owner and admin. their reply was " We don't know what to say" this being a drastic contrast from their promotional cheerleading when I was in the process of trying to make a prudent decision about skin care. I expressed my huge dissapointment their come back was....well "we have a NEW Thermage machine now " and they suggested that I have yet another $3000 plus treatment. Yeah right. My advice is STAY AWAY!
I booked a hair removal treatment and experienced great service. From the moment I walked in I was pampered with a drink and friendly staff. To my surprise I was even checked out of the rear entrance. Privacy is not a big concern for me but I thought it was a nice touch and it gave me confidence in the clinic that they are concerned about patients.
I had not considered any restylane type of treatments in the past but I met with the doctor just to get his opinion since I am turning 40 and have noticed some lines popping up.This meeting was FREE. Again I was surprised. I don't think I have ever had a free meeting with a doctor. He reviewed several treatment options and gave me a personalized consult. In the end we did a filler type of treatment in my cheek area.I would have never have thought I would need my cheeks worked on but when he went over exactly how we age in the face it did make sense to me.I went home and looked at pictures from college (as the doctor suggested) and sure enough my cheeks had dropped down.I am amazed with how it looks,it was virtually painless and noone really knows what I did but I have had more compliments in the past 5 months than in the past 5 years.
I would definitely go back to Emerge and they have my treatment plan ready for me when I can afford it.
I should also add there was no sales pressure. Even after the free doctor consult.
Tas
very phony - don't like the atmosphere - they wouldn't take my complaints seriously - made me pay for extra botox when it was clearly they're fault that i didn't have enough in the first place!!! won't go back.....
I had a treatment done in November and I was told I would have optimal results 6 months down the road. I'm here to tell you they weren't kidding. I had a re-surfacing treatment done by Dr. Rajani and I was not only blown away by the treatment I got when I was there but also by the results. I've never had compliments on my skin. Over the past six months I have been getting them more and more frequently.
I am a man and was a little nervous to go in for a treatment like this but I am so glad I did. Emerge treated me with respect and discretion. I am definitely having more treatments done there. They definitely know how to treat their patients, and Dr. Rajani is truly one of the most skilled physicians I have ever met.
Pros: Amazing people, amazing treatments, amazing results
I am a dedicated Spa junkie and I have absolutely fallen in love with Emerge. The service I recieved there left me looking FANTASTIC! I have never gotten so many compliments on my skin. I've done a few treatments with them and they have been incredible and exceeded expectations every single time. I have already highly recommended Emerge to all my Spa junkie friends and they've all had the same experience as me. Emerge is definitely the destination spa of choice for ALL my medical spa needs.
The other thing that just really gave me the confidence to write this review is that they have the most friendly, knowledgeble, and professional staff I have ever met. I can't wait for my next visit.
Pros: ALL OF IT!
Cons: I wish they had more space so they could offer more treatments!
I love a good spa experience; this certainly wasn't it. It was a "hurry and wait" start and when I was done my skin looked awlful. I got a rash from the exfoliation treatment and I have not ever had a problem before. My skin has never been categorized as sensitive, but whatever they used was very caustic. I would try another salon.
Pros: parking relatively easy
Cons: burnt my skin; expensive for value
100 units of Botox Cosmetic for Underarms
and
6 Laser Hair Removal Underarm Treatments
I had a skin treatment from Emerge that left my skin with blisters and subsequent scars. Beware!!!!! I had received this same treatment from another spa and had no side effects, so my conclusion has to be that Emerge staff were not properly trained or just did not care.
Cons: treatment left scars after it blister; plus it was very expensive.
My Emerge Medical Spa Experience
I was thoroughly satisfied and completely impressed with the before and after photos of my Thermage procedure especially considering that I was very nervous on the day of my appointment. However, any nerves I may have had quickly left me upon my arrival at the spa.
From the warm hello at reception to the ?you?re going to do great? from my sales person to my well informed and mannered technician, everyone at Emerge worked to make me feel extremely comfortable. They understood why I felt nervous and took the time and necessary steps to put me at ease. Their demeanor was warm, friendly and genuine?it truly meant a lot.
Since I?m a sales executive, my appearance is an extremely important component of my professional success. Being very results oriented, I wanted to see the proof that the Thermage made a difference.
I?m thrilled to report the results have been proven not only by my own observation but also by the comments I have received from loved ones, friends and colleagues. Many have commented on how young and fit my face looks and have asked if I?ve lost weight.
Needless to say I am very impressed with the staff, services, facility and results produced at Emerge. I highly recommend Emerge Medical Spa.
I want to nap in their treatment rooms here! The beds are so comfortable and the surroundings are so relaxing I found myself wishing I could stay all day! The Emerge staff is very friendly and knowledgable and incredibly gentle. I emerged out of the spa a new person and people have been commenting on my skin complexion and glow ever since. I refer everyone to go here!
I booked an appointment with Emerge based on having no experience with laser hair removal. I was a bit nervous about the procedure because I didn't know what to expect. The estheticians provided me with detailed material about the process before getting the work done. The procedure was quick, easy, and relatively painless. The estheticians were very accomodating and did a superb job. Based on my wonderful experience with Emerge, I'll certainly return for future needs.
Pros: Wonderful and accomodating staff
