This review is actually not for Cypress on River Walk, but the 2nd new place they've opened in Oregon City...I just can't find the listing for it on City Search, they are probably too new. Anyway absolutely wonderful little spot off of main in Oregon City, and sandwhiched next to a terrific wine bar...either start at the wine bar and move to Cypress...or Cypress will serve the food to you at the wine bar...if you love really fresh tasty Greek food, you just have to try this place, FANTASTIC lamb shank, wonderfully flavored greek salads and hummus...really a treat...can't wait to go back!

Prior to our last visit on 3/14/08 our review would have been similar to the one posted on 1/28/08.

This was one of my boyfriends and I's favorite places. Such a fav that we've referred a number of other people their also. This last Friday my boyfriend and I went to Cypress for his birthday, but we never got seated. We stood their for 5-7 minutes (no exaggeration) and were not once acknowledged. The waitress/hostess passed right by us a number of times and didn't even look at us. They were busy, but all we needed was a "I'll be right with you" or an acknowledgement of our presence. We ended up leaving because it appeared that they didn't want our business. Very unfortunate since this was one of our favorite spots.
Maybe this is just a good spot for happy hour during the summer when you can sit outside, but not so good for dinner.

Are you allowed to write a review of your own restaurant, cutie with the blue eyes behind the bar?
Good hummus. Not enough vegetarian options.

Wow!
We just went to this place, down on the Waterfront and absolutely loved it.
The owners also run it and they are the funniest and most gracious crew around.
Best of all, is the $3 martinis! We are talking full size, kick your butt, martinis and the list is huge. All for $3.
We first went for dinner and loved the food, but then we saw their happy hour menu and went back...What a blast! Get the Hummus and the Lamb Rice Bowl.
Say Hi to the cutie working behind the bar... Best blue eyes I have ever seen.......
