If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. Their cupcakes are to die for...the fillings and flavors are so amazingly good, and the staff is extra sweet. A+! By far the best cupcakes in Portland! Much better than Saint Cupcake, IMHO.

They obviously put forth a great effort to create unique cupcakes with quality ingredients. I love their creative concoctions and even if you aren't a cake lover, you can't go wrong with a frosting shot! Even have cupccakes for dogs...how

Aw, finally a cupcake that I LOVE. These cupcakes are really amazing. The cake part is super moist, and the buttercream frosting is fluffy and melts in your mouth. I dream about these cupcakes. The service is always amazing, the staff

Cupcake Jones is ok, and I had high expectations after seeing the outside of the store which is really cute. But the cupcakes weren't really that good at all. I'd rather go to Saint Cupcake which I think is 10x better!

The best cupcakes! There are different flavors every day. Cupcakes are stuffed with a filling and then iced to perfection. Extremely friendly staff as well.

Cupcake Jones makes the most scrumpilicious cupcakes on the planet. They do deliver and they have been very generous in giving back to the community through donations to worthy causes.

The cupcakes look a lot better than they taste. For being solely a cupcake place, their cupcakes weren't anything better than what you can make at home. My boyfriend and I decided to try this place out instead of going to Ben & Jerry's which is right next door. We went home with about 6 different cupcakes. I only remember one of them being good, it was the rose petal one. I wouldn't go back there. Go to Ben & Jerry's next door instead!

Cupcake Jones seduced me with their adorable decorations, interesting flavors, and promise of something original in a city saturated with cupcake bakeries. However, the cupcake itself was incredibly disappointing. The cake was crumby and dry, and tasted as though it had been baked for too long. The frosting had a high butter-to-sugar ratio that kept it from getting the crust that shaped frosting sometimes develops, but tasted like butter with barely a dash of sugar. I would recommend taking a picture of these and then going to St. Cupcake for a dessert worth paying for.

Pros: beautiful cupcakes, great business practices

Cons: dry, crumby cupcakes not worth buying

I bought a downtown devil brown today with fudge center and fudge frosting. The cupcake was dry and I couldn't taste the chocolate. The frosting was too sweet! I wasn't impressed.

I completely forgot my friend's birthday and called St. Cupcake in the late afternoon. They not only made up my friend's favorite cupcakes but delivered them before the end of the workday. Amazing service, delicious cupcakes, wonderful place.

Pros: Creative Flavors, Flexible

The first time I went to Cupcake Jones I had the Downtown Cupcake Brown. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. The second time a friend wanted to try the Lemon "Sorbet". Terrible! The cake was extremely dry and the top and bottom were very hard. The lemon curd had no flavor and the frosting tasted like whipped Crisco. You're better off making cupcakes at home!

Seriously delicious! I really enjoy the downtown cupcake. Lisa, the woman that owns it is always really happy and knows what amazing customer service is all about!

My husband surprised me with a half-dozen cupcakes for my birthday last week. He'd been to St. Cupcakes first, but alas, they are shut on Mondays, so he thought he'd give Cupcake Jones a shot. He was suspicious of the cheerios decorating one cupcake, and what looked like a dried apple slice on another. Neither one of us could figure out which was supposed to be what - was that banana or carrot cake? Was that lemon, or just plain yellow cake? If it wasn't chocolate, we weren't sure WHAT it was. The frosting was like butter, and I don't mean that in a good way. All in all, I'll stick with St. Cupcake, or make my own. Definitely not impressed. Perhaps the Belmont location has better ingredient than the Pearl?

Pros: Good sturdy carry-box

Cons: Bland, blah decorations, dry cake

I was excited when I discovered this cupcake shop in the Pearl District; however, I quickly became disappointed after my first bite. The cupcake/icing was not moist and not worth $3.75!!!

If you are searching for a delicious, moist cupcake, then I would recommend the Sugar Cube cart at 9th and Alder-- you've got to go early though because they usually sell out by the end of the day.

Cupcake Jones is the yummiest place on the planet. They are creative, delicious, and addictive. The service is exceptional. I took their frosting shots to Burning Man this year!

I've never had cupcakes like the ones they make at Cupcake Jones. These are cupcakes on a whole new level. Ever since we started having these for our coffee breaks, we realize that our coffee isn't good enough. One last hint: selection changes by day of the week, but if it is German chocolate cupcake day, you owe it to yourself to try some.

Cupcake Jones is a wonderful new locally owned business. Lisa, the owner, has a great vision of delightful cupcakes to tantalize all the senses. They look beautiful, smell great, and taste delicious. The inventive cupcakes - changing regularly with some regular standouts like The Pearl. The cakes are moist and the icing is wonderfully creamy. There are special touches on every cupcake like candied orange peel and rose petals. There are wonderful cupcakes for special occasions or any time! The service is spectacular - always friendly and extremely helpful.

I have been going here since they opened and am SOOOO in love with it!

They change their menu every month so there is always something new.

The cream filled Jumbos are the way to go if you want a treat for yourself but I take the "mini dozen" box to every dinner and party I go to. They will even wrap it in ribbon for you for free if you want to give it as a gift.

Be aware that the minis, kind of a more traditional cupcake, don't have filling in the center.

The super friendly service is the "icing on the cake" here. Every single time I go in there, there is a helpful friendly person working who patiently talks me through today's flavors. I could never do that all day but they talk as if you are the first person they have ever explained this to. Having worked in retail a lot, I know that this takes a lot of patience.

The thing they are eager to tell you is that they make their garnishes from scratch. No colored sprinkles or that disgusting candy confetti (that you can buy in the grocery store) will be found here. I had a candied orange peel there once that sent me into orbit. So sweet and yummy. My favorite garnish is the candied rose petal that they put on their red velvet (only available on Thursdays - I found out the hard way).

Enjoy this tiny, cute, friendly place and turn your friends on to them. It is a hidden gem in Portland that every local should know about.
