I just came across this site and it sadens me to see the other comment. I am the owner of this store. My husband and I have worked hard to make our customers feel at home in our store. I am sorry that this customer has had a bad experience. We are open 10am to 8pm Monday though Saturday. We try hard to keep up on DVDs that have problems playing. When we receive a comment on one that doesn't play right, our policy is to give the customer another copy of that same right then, if they want it. If not, we will play the movie and if we find something wrong with it, we give a credit. Unfortunately not all dvds will play in all players. I have even played one dvd many times and one time it will have problems and the next time it wont. Also if there are any fingerprints on them, they will have problems. We are just a little mom and pop type store and unfortunately can't give everyone a credit just because their player didn't like the dvd. Personally I hate DVDs. We never had these problems with VHS tapes. We always try to come to a conclusion that satisfies everyone if possible. We also ask that if someone does have a problem playing one of our dvds, please let us know (by phone or coming in) asap so we can check it and fix it if need be. Everyday someone has out a movie late is rental income lost that we need to live on. I hope this helps smooth over the bad review we have received. We value everyones business and don't want to have anyone mad at us. Please come in and check us out for yourself. We would love to meet you!!

I rented the movie bridge to tarabithia and when i watched the movie, it skipped almost 3 chapters. It was late at night so the next day, when i got home at night, i tried playing it in my daughters dvd player, thinking maybe my player was getting old and the dvd skipped again. As it was late at night and my only time to enjoy a movie was after work in the evening, and the store has the most horrible hours for a movie rental facility, i returned it the next day and let the clerk know it had skipped. about a month later i received a letter in the mail explaining i owed 6.00 in late fees. i called, explained what had happened and they flat out said they played the movie and it worked fine totally emplying that i was lying, i let her know that i have no reason to lie and she kept talking down to me. After insisting they take the late fees off of my account, they finally did but let me know if i did this again, they will make me pay the fees since i might be like everyone else and lye about the dvd not working. There is no way that i would ever rent from this broken down, so called video store again. I'm bring my buisness to blockbuster, which is sad because i love giving my buisness to small buisnesses but at least blockbuster wont call me a liar and their customer service is a little more up to par.
