We asked if they allowed dogs in the outdoor-seating area, and they said yes. It was full, so they told us to wait, and we stood out front for about a half hour. When we went in to check, they were seating other people behind us, and also some folks from the street.

We could not find the same guys who told us to wait, so we just left.

This is a horrible experience. There's nothing worse than having to wait around like you're a nobody, especially when you are hungry, and taking care of two dogs. My impression of Cannon Beach changed somewhat after this incident.

Before this unfortunate dinner experience, I had gone to Sweet Basil, and I really felt like Cannon Beach was a place that I would like to visit over and over again. However, after being treated like TRASH at this place, and at Bill's Tavern, I don't think that I shall be visiting Cannon Beach again.

It seems rather odd, that a place that is very quaint and friendly would turn out to be so cold after 5 pm on a Saturday.

Pros: allows dogs on patio

Cons: no waitlist, no one to take care of people waiting

In the heart of downtown, this place is a frequent haunt just for its many varieties of ice cream. We recently had an incredible lunch there as well with hearty, big sandwiches and a crisp salad. There is outdoor seating as well as indoor. It is very casual and modest but great food and reasonably priced so if hunger strikes while roaming the main street of Cannon Beach for one of a kind treasures, eat here with confidence.

The food was good but more importantly the staff was great from the hostess to the busboy. They bent over backwards to accommodate us and were cheerful the whole time. We got there during a very busy time (middle of the lunch rush during early August) and we were treated like we were the only ones in the building. I left feeling like I had known everyone for years. As mentioned before, the food was good, well prepared and quick to arrive. Not only will I go there again, I will make a special trip to do it. As to the name, it is the same restaurant as the Lazy Susan, just a new name (there is a Lazy Susan cafe as well and I believe it?s related but it?s not a full restaurant like the grill and scope is).

thought this was the Lazy Susan "CAFE" which is highly recommended by best places and hotel staff...but it isn't....the Lazy Susan Cafe is off the street next to the theatre.
The breakfast here was poor and overpriced. ie., burnt english muffin..pre cooked rubbery scrambled eggs...STAY AWAY! Hey owners..this place is going to kill the Lazy Susan reputation!
