Hi,

Just before Easter, my furnace exploded in my face and my kids called 911. The police were the the first to respond. Although they were not as comforting as the paramedics were, they came in a hurry and tried to calm me down. As you can imagine, calming down when your entire face is burned and your hair has been burned half off is not an easy task, but the policeman tried anyway. Again, a couple days before Labor Day, I had my first tonic-clonic seizure, no idea why yet, but apparently they were again the first to arrive. Since I was mostly out of it, I really don't remember who was next to me, but I would imagine it was a policeman, because the paramedics were by the stretcher, which I really didn't want to get on, I knew where they were going to take me. I may be wrong, but one way or another, they were always there when needed and even stopped someone who wouldn't stop for my ambulance when I got that burn all over my face. I really appreciate them being there for me. I never knew a policeman came when a 911 call came in. That was new to me, but I guess it does make sense. See, police do more than just stop people for speeding. Thanks again. Kim Forsythe
