Beavers Bend Restaurant

We've been here twice. Both times we ordered the country fried steak, i.e., floured and fried round steak, no egg batter, just seasoned flour.

The first time it was the best country fried steak we ever had in a restaurant or cafe. Crisp, wonderful, with ample gravy and an old-fashioned salad served with Saltines, also a potato.

Second time, a few months ago, the steak was not crisp, so not as wonderful a meal, but it was still good. Besides, beautiful location in Beavers Bend State Park.
