great food

My family always goes to this restaurant everytime we go to the beach. The service is excellent and the place is always clean every year. The food is awesome!! The buffet is 20.00/persone, but they have coupon books available to reduce the price. I highly recommend this place.

Good atmosphere

by Kimberly C. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 9,077

I am not much of a seafood lover and the price of $25/person plus $2.50 for a beverage is a ridiculous price for a buffet in my opinion. However, crab legs are a plenty in the price. The selection is over run with fried items. I prefer broiled or baked. Our server was less than efficient. We were his only table the night we were there and he couldn't keep our drinks refilled.
The facility is clean and has interesting decor. I do like seeing the model ships at the entrance and the gift shop is nice. The pirate who greets you at the door is great too. He certainly thrilled my 3 year old who absolutely loves pirates.
While my first choice would not be going back, other family members love this place, so we will probably go back on our next visit to Myrtle Beach.

The Best on the Strand

by Roberta W. | insider Insider | Rank: 14,244

I grew up in southeastern NC and we spent a lot of time in Myrtle Beach. This past summer I decided to take my husband and children down there for a vacation. This was one restaurant I was happy to see still open and crowded like I remembered. My family and I enjoyed the HUGE buffet. Living in upstate PA we don't get the chance of fresh seafood, so it was greatly enjoyed. Prices were high for a buffet, but when you think about eating all you want of seafood, it's very cost effective. Service was wonderful.

GREAT!!!!

by M. W. | top100 Top100 | Rank: 5

This is the greatest of the Calabash style seafood restaurants in Myrtle Beach. The other's are just imitation, this is the real thing. The food is wonderful. If you leave hungry you have no one to blame but yourself. Again, good food, great staff - just wonderful!
