I gave them 1 star because I can't give lower. I am trapped with 6 MBPS DSL with them. They are the cable & phone provider and no one else allowed in. I have been begging for over 1.5 years for better internet but they will not upgrade

As a consumer, I have experienced the worst customer service from Comporium that I have ever received from any company. Their employees are badly trained and the supervisors do not take responsibility for company mistakes. I am currently without internet because for months they have made mistakes on our accounts and told us repeatedly not to pay the bill until it was fixed. We have still not received a correct bill, yet we are late on some payment. I am willing to pay termination fees to never have to speak with this company again. #comporium #southcarolina #customerservice

Comporium Communications is a monopoly in the Rock Hill area. Their basic internet package is outrageously costly. Avoid this company at all costs. When I moved from Rock Hill, I signed up for AT&T U-verse, and I get premium cable and

Comporium Communications, I worked for them for over ten years and all but 1 year I was not a subscriber to anything except for internet. The only reason I subscribed to that was the lack of anything else. Most of the department I was working in had DIRECTV for TV, no home phones.... that in itself speaks volumes. I recently visited my home town and asked my parents about their internet and they told me that they have Comcast, the 2nd tier data package and it cost $29/month, no taxes on internet usage. The speeds were 15Mbp's up/5Mbp's down. That is without a contract, with the contract it is $20/month. The top tier was 75Mb/20Mb down and it was $70/month. The prices here are really unfair and they said that they charge that because even though they are considered "Rural" they are in the Charlotte and Columbia price ranges. The company was a good place to work, but not anymore. The employee's don??t even get a discount on the service, its like 75% on basic cable and 15-20% off everything else. Talk about greed.

Even though you probably have no choice in internet providers if youre looking at Comporium as an option, don't go into the deal thinking you're actually getting what you pay for. Comporium is barely allowed to call itsself high speed.

Comporium is a JOKE! It is the ONLY provider in this area, and their prices are WAY to high! Stop and a take a look at dish network or something else before getting involved. I have had comporium for a year and have their basice for $9.95, yet my bill is alomost $20 a month due to JUST TAXES! Talk about BS! Not to mention my picture quality is TERRIBLE and I have brand new TV's! To upgrade for basic plus you have to shell out more than $60.00 a month for some decent chanels. REDICULOUS! I switched to Dish network, get amazing customer service, awesome picture and over 200 chanels for $24 a month! And that includes all of the "taxes". Plus they installed it for free, no charge for the dish or the DVR!!! I can't wait for another company to move in to this area and give crappy comporium a run for their money! Every bill I received from them had a shut off notice, yet I was NEVER late on my payments, and when I called to let them know they were TOTALLY clueless about it! Wake up you FOOLS! Let's consider the economy!! You're prices are STUPID!

We only use comporium for our phone-local service only. We have only had a few small problems with them. We really dont have a choice on which provider we use though.
