I've dined here several times, and when they first opened the service and food were great, but everything has quickly deteriorated.

Upon arrival, you'd think that with the nicely decorated and slightly dark atmosphere, you'd get nice music to match. Wrong! The blaring music will only be outdone every once in a while by all the noise coming from the bar area.

I ate there again, for the last time, this last Friday night (2/6). I had asked for a booth, and as we passed an open one, I was told it was 'reserved', even though there was no sign on it. They then stuck my husband and I in a corner by a window, which I thought would be ok. Wrong! We watched as three other tables right around us get seated, and all three tables got drinks before we did. They also continued to get refills regularly (by the same waitress we had).

When we ran out of our first beverage, we waited over 15 minutes for our clearly overwhelmed waitress to return to us, at which time we showed her the dark hair that was at the bottom of one of our Cesar salads! She didn't show much concern, and got a guy to come over (I assume a 'manager'), who did fill up our drinks quickly and then miraculously brought our entress right out . The steak I ordered was completely tasteless and tough and the steak fries were over-baked and cold. My husbands fish was tough and overcooked .

To top it off, when we received our bill at the end of the fiasco, they didn't even have the decency to take the price of the salad off the bill! Don't waste your time and money!

Pros: Tea

Cons: Everything else

I visited Brick City Grille with my boss for dinner one evening. I was really impressed with the atmosphere - it's really beautifully decorated. The food was also quite delicious. Quite a bit of variety on the menu, so should be easy for just about anyone to find something they like. Prices weren't too bad and the service was great!

I visited Brick City for the first (and last) time this evening. The buzz around town led me to believe that this would bt a great place to eat. I was disappointed. Everything -- from the food to the service, from the atmosphere to the menu -- everything was unremarkable.

I ordered the Aged Ribeye which they claimed was "full of flavor." The only noticeable flavor was smoke. My date had the Herb Encrusted Chicken. She also found her entree to be flavorless, and the accompanying pasta was drenched in oil.

The menu was shorter than the wine list and even less adventurous.

I was saddened to find TV's displaying the day's NASCAR event. The restaurant's choice of music was deplorable. I hoped for light Jazz or Classical. Intead, I was met with a feeble mix of 80's and 90's Top 40. I like Toto's "Africa" as much as the next guy, but not when I'm trying to enjoy a nice dinner.

Our service was adequate, but nothing more.

Bottom line: Go to Friday's. You'll get the same quality for about half the price.
