Can't speak of the doctors as I couldn't get that far...Tried for a week to get an appt. Even though I have PPO insurance I was told a referral is required which is fine, but here is what I went through...
-Referral sent Wednesday.
-Thursday morning they said they did not have it yet. I called to make sure it was sent and confirmed it was. Thursday afternoon I called back and the lady said she did receive the referral but it was "processing" and to call back.
-Friday - they stated they had the referral and it was still processing and it should be done by the end of the day.
-Monday - still no appt. I call to check on the status. First she says she doesn't see it. Then she tells me she found the referral, but was processing and should be done by the end of the day and that it was taking longer than normal due to the weekend.
-Brings me to TUESDAY. The women told me that there was no referral at all!!! I tell her that I've been told for the past 3 days the referral is there, but processing. She puts me on hold and when she comes back states the person that deals with that double checked and there is no record of a referral!!! Then she tries to confirm by DOB and was wrong!! Maybe that's why they couldn't find me? When corrected she didn't try to look again.
I asked her how my referral could have disappeared and she told me she doesn't know and there is nothing she can do about it and that I would have to get a new referral sent....... I DON'T THINK SO! It's been 6 days and no appointment and stress of me being sick plus having to deal with this ridiculousness. This office has major customer service problems!!!! I was never called back to make an appt and instead of them calling my other doctor to sort out the issue, I was stuck making multiple phone calls over multiple days with no solution!

I decided to call Spartanburg ENT instead who I did not have to have a referral for since I have PPO and have been sick for 2mths. They were very polite and worked with me and fit me in for an appt in 2 days from my phone call due to call out!!! Very impressed by Spartanburg ENT. Should have started with them and saved me all that time and headache!!

Don't recommend even trying to get an appt with Greenville ENT. Awful service!!!!!

I've been to see Dr. McLear in this office and from the moment of check-in to the time I checked out, I've never experienced a more positive, happy staff!! He was great and he's seen my mother and my children over the years. Sure, some offices have speed bumps, but our overall experience over the years has been great. I'm in the medical profession myself and am familiar with the type of patient complaints mentioned above. Most times, these are rude and noncompliant patients themselves. I don't know that this is their case, but for me and my family's part, I would recommend Greenville ENT to everyone I ever meet who needs their services. Again, they are wonderful!!!

I went to see Dr. Phillips, he suggested getting a hearing test. Appointments where made and cards were given to me with times and dates. I arrived on my scheduled day and was told I didn't have an appointment. I showed them the cards and they said it was an error on their part but couldn't accommodate me. Instead gave me a new appointment time for a month later! I told me daughter of what happened and she called to find out what the problem was. She was told that I did have an appointment, but Katherine (the person that was to do the hearing test) called in sick so they cancelled all her appointments for that day. She was also told that they tried calling me to let me know of that.
So they lied.. either to me or to my daughter. How unprofessional! Obviously they aren't to be trusted! What kind of way is that to run a practice? Please take this into account.. and ask to be referred to someone else.

i went in to see dr. phillips on wednesday they did a nose culture and looked at my throat and nose, no one listened to my chest, looked in my ears or did any xrays. i persisted to get worse until friday and had made several calls to the nurse deborah coggins. stated i needed to see someone, almost had to go to the hospital thursday night due to i could not breathe. no one would see me friday, they said they could refer me to an allergist and that was all! i ended up having to go to my family doctor who determined that i had pnuemonia! i had to change all my medications again. I left a message with the operations manager monday this week and never heard back. I JUST heard back from the nose culture tuesday morning!! almost a week later! I believe this was so unprofessional and I just if a client needs to see someone, someone needs to see them that day or get them in. I felt as if i was blown off. . It may have not been the most fault of the dr. but the nurse was very unhelpful

The staff did not return my phone calls. They were rude in person. I was left on hold several times before line dropped. The answering service person was rude. \r

The doctor was alright.\r

I would not refer anyone to this ENT because of the staff.

We have seen Dr. Phillips for many problems. My daughter is now 3 but I have entrusted him with her treatments since she was 9 months old. She loves going to see him. He is honest, caring and great with kids (& parents!). I would & do recommend him to everyone that needs an ENT.

Pros: Parking is great! Wait is great! Doctor's & staff are great!

Dr. Brown performed bilateral myringotomy tubes for my then one-year-old. He was wonderful with my son and I will return to him for any ENT concerns.
