My husband and I flew in from another state, and our friend who lives in the area took us here.
We ordered the butter chicken, chicken chilli, chicken korma, mango lassi, and naans.
All the food was really good. The curry sauces were very good.
The staff was VERY friendly and attentive.
My only complaint was we barely got any food! The chicken came in VERY tiny oblong bowls. There must've only been maybe 6 small pieces of chicken in each bowl. I was hungry when I left the restaurant and we were all fighting for the last bites because there just wasn't enough.

Pros: good chicken curries and naans

Cons: portions are very tiny, especially for the prices

Saffron's food and service is best in town. I tried three indian resturants in greensville and best from all of these is saffron, their dinner is excellent. I tried four dishes and all of them were excellent. Their service is best, really caring.

I do not want to be mean because the staff at Saffron is very nice, but the food is just not good. I ordered Shrimp Korma and Chicken Saag, and both were truly disappointing. I have had Indian food from a variety of places in NY, Boston, and Denver, and I honestly have to say this was some of the worst out of all of those.

The Korma lacked any flavor at all, to the point where it was almost impossible to tell it was Korma. The Saag was also very bland. The appetizers I ordered were acceptable, but the main dishes left a lot to be desired.

Perhaps the kitchen just had an off night, but I am going to go elsewhere for my Indian food from now on.

Great food. Beyond great service. A must try and try again! The servers acted like we were top priority despite the large party on the other side of the restaurant and the food was just outstanding.

My husband and I frequent Saffron for lunch once a week. I am vegetarian, he's not. However, the lunch buffet offers healthy and amazingly tasty options for the both of us. The food bar is relatively small, but everything has always been fresh. The food is authentic with rich and robust flavors. The naan bread they serve is the best I have eaten. The place is always exceptionally clean. Get there early on lunch days...it gets crowded! Buffet is not served in the evenings...becomes slightly more formal in the evenings and you order off the menu only! This is still our favorite place to eat because the food is just so dang good!
