My husband and I have been customers for Pioneer Water nearly 12 years. Last week I called Pioneer to ask if I could give them a check posted for the 27th. They would not accept that so I had to wait for the 25th, which is last day to pay before they disconnect. We unfortuntely didn't get there with our payment untill 5:12pm. The doors were locked but the ladies that work there were still there. When My husband dropped the envelope thru their night drop box when one lady walked to the door, picked it up while giving my husband a rude look. She then just turned and walked away. We had never had our water disconnected before so I really didn't know what to expect. I was hoping they posted it for the 25th. Boy was I Wrong!! Called them as soon as they were opened the next day and was told since I didn't pay for the disconnect fee that the water was going to be turned off. Went there to pay the $50 disconnect fee and while I was waiting for one of the ladies to notice I was standing there I had heard them talking about other costumer's that had called to complain about the disconnection process. One lady turned from her computer, looked @ me and said "That's what you did. You paid after 5 oclock. " I thought that was rude!! The water wasn't turned back on till later that day. If we could get water from another company we would! I don't know how much it cost now but we paid a $50.00 deposit for us to get our water account. I wish there was a way the fee could be taken from that.

I was selling my house and the meter was turned off by the the water company in Dec. come January they send me a bill for 27.50 and tell me that it's the base rate for having a meter installed. Mind you I never got a drop of water for the month of January. and when I call in February they tell me that they are going to bill be again even though they have not even read the meter! They don't read meters on my street till the 20th of the month and I called on the 16th. This is nothing but fraud! If you are no longer in you home and you have this Pioneer water the make sure you close your account or they will stick it to you!

Pros: Good tasting water

Cons: Terrible customer service, and terrible rates

I along with many others I am sure or not satisfied that the district I was told by one of the employees came up with the idea that the customer pay a $50.00 reconnect fee if their water is turned off, ok fair enough but the unfair part about it is irregardless to whether you pay the fee on the same day before closing, they want turn the water back on until the next day and it is usually around noon before they turn it on. I feel that if you pay them your bill plus the 50.00 reconnect fee before closing then your water should be turn on the same day! Because there or elderly and or disabled people who rely soley on someone else because they don't drive or can't get out . I get off at 3:00 and the water was turned off around 2:00 and even if I pay it at 3:30 they want turn the water back on the next day that is totally ridiculous. Because even if I call and say I am on my way to pay it they want accept that. And there should be some customer rights against being taken advantage of such away.
