Check Mark Services - Home Inspections

We have used Check Mark for 3 Inspections. Two for houses we were looking at, and once for a pre-sale fixup list. This was money well spent. Based on the pre-sale inspection we were able to fix most of the problems the inspector found ahead of time and avoided rushing before closing. (We sold in 2 weeks!) The buyers inspector diden't notice some of the items that the Check Mark inspector did! They also were excellent in providing us with an inspection report in less that 48 hrs,that was full of photos and showed numerous hidden/potential problems.

Even our attorney rekarked at how impressed he was with the report.

They were not the least expensive inspectors we talked to but we feel that the few extrea dollars were returned many times over. Thanks again for a great job!

I've known a lot of guys with construction experience but Jeff Molloy at Check Mark Services has a very broad range of knowledge that covers virtually every aspect of a home. He can explain how different systems interact with each other and how different problems can arise from what seemed to be OK when one guy fixes something and how it might cause a problem elsewhere. He is able to explain things using simple examples and dosent treat you like an idiot. I can highly recommend him!

Great job by Jeff inspecting our home. He was able to find several problems but also had ideas on how to go about fixing them. Very knowledgeable about all aspects of the inspection but especially up-to-date on current products/methods/options to advise about. Jeff took tons of time, very thorough. I recently attended a home inspection with my Son and Daughter-in-law who were buying their first home. Jeff from Check Mark was the Inspector. They found him on the Internet because they didn't want to use the Inspector that the Agent was pushing. I was leery because we did not know him or his company but Check Mark had a number of good customer ratings that we found once we did some searching.We now know why he gets such good ratings! Jeff spent over 4 hrs looking at 2100 sqft home. (Originally We were told by the broker that it would take about 1 1/2 to 2 Hrs) Well the time flew by for us but not for my kids Agent, who was not so happy that "our" Inspector was taking so long and looking so close.As one would expect there were many small problems but nothing too serious as far as cost goes but a gas leak that could have been a real problem! Most of the safety problems were easily fixable. The "New" A/C Unit was only new outside! The Inside air blower was almost 20 years old so only 1/2 of the system was "New". Thanks for working so hard for them!

The report was also very detailed with tons of photos..that makes all the difference!

We also found out why so many people bother to rate his services...he asks! Jeff will send you an e-mail sincerely seeking ways to improve his coutomer service and provide the linke to do it. Thats risky for many but not in this case!

Jeff Molloy of Check Mark recently reviewed a property we were thinking of purchasing. We thought we looked closely the two times we had visited the location with our "expert" friends. Well, are we glad we hired a Pro. Within about 60 minutes Mr Molloy pointed out about $10,000 in unseen problems!

Two weeks later we found another property that pretty much passed with flying colors! Thanks for being so professional and helping us keep the emotion out of our decision!

Excellent, professional, complete work. Extremely knowledgeable in the area of cost of repairs. I have some building construction experience but I can say that he is very observant and notices what most other inspectors would probably have missed. His price was reasonable.
