I still have not gotten my generator repaired after starting this process in early October . The saga continues.. Won't go into details, suffice to say that Ive brought it back to them now three times, to correct the problem they have never been able to complete.. \r

If you have a lot of time on your hands, this is the place to go. When I call, they indicate that I just dropped it off a couple of weeks ago.. I think this is the root of the problem. They start a new ticket everytime I bring it back for the same unresolved issue. This is now three months old.\r

In early October I dropped my generator off at the Lexington location. The generator ran fine, but was hard to start from time to time. I was told by another shop that this was a common occurrence for this particular model and that it related to a LOw- Oil sensor that malfunctions over time.

I dropped the unit off and was told to expect a call by weeks end. I did not get the call until the following week that the unit was ready for pick up.

When I arrived my first shock was the actual bill 165,00 - Parts were about 60.00 of the total and the rest was labor.

Over a hundred dollars labor for what amounted to a screw in part , an oil change and carb clean

It was THEN I REALIZED THAT THEIR LABOR RATE IS

$72.50 OKAY I should have paid better attention. I was told that they are at the bottom of the pay scale for lawnmower shops in town.

The story doesn't end here I had to return the unit to them since it now starts on first pull but runs at full speed and could self destruct at the rpm's it now runs at on start up.

So I got the Mercedes Benz labor rate without the MB experience.. Also, so far I have yet to hear any apology for the inconvience.
