TERRIBLE business practices! RTG is trying to steel $850 from my parents. The store manager was never available the 3 times my parents went in to return the mattress that was certified ""defective"" by RTG rep that went to their home. The only seemingly honest person there was the assistant manager who told me that I could use the STORE CREDIT for the return. Because my mom never wants to step foot in the store again. So today I went in to use the credit ($700 because they will not take back the mattress cover that cost $50 and the delivery fees are non refundable.) And I was told by the store manager (who just happened to be there when I went in) that I could not make a purchase that my MOM would have to come in and do it!!!! I stood right there a week ago and was told by the assistant manager that I could do it!!! So the store manager told me that the ASSISTANT manager ""CAVED"" and he should not have told me that. THEY ALL SUCK over there! DON'T shop at RTG. Especially Metairie LA, but I'm learning from the reviews that they are all the same.

WOW! The worst shopping experience of my life! The delivery people - even though the truck says Rooms to Go - are a different company. They came in and ruined my house: tracked dirt, left trash from upacking, damaged 2 walls, damaged the furniture I bought, and did not even set it up properly. When I complained and wanted RTG to pick it all up - they basically told me - TOO BAD. They did set up to have the damaged pieces replaced - but one of the new pieces came damaged! We had to refuse and still have not received ne piece (over a month!). They were supposed to pay for the walls - total LIE!!!! DO NOT SHOP THERE - bunch of crooks and they DO NOT CARE about you!!!!!

WOW! The worst shopping experience of my life! The delivery people - even though the truck says Rooms to Go - are a different company. They came in and ruined my house: tracked dirt, left trash from upacking, damaged 2 walls, damaged the furniture I bought, and did not even set it up properly. When I complained and wanted RTG to pick it all up - they basically told me - TOO BAD. They did set up to have the damaged pieces replaced - but one of the new pieces came damaged! We had to refuse and still have not received ne piece (over a month!). They were supposed to pay for the walls - total LIE!!!! DO NOT SHOP THERE - bunch of crooks and they DO NOT CARE about you!!!!!

Don't fall for their unethical tactics. I saw a really nice table and chair set advertised on their web site and in a mail circular. It was advertised for $525. I thought it was a real bargain, so I called them to ensure they had it in stock. The sales person that I spoke with said to come in, but they may need to ship from their main warehouse in Mobile. So I went to the Metairie store, and there was the set on display. I was so nice--really beautiful. It had a big sign that said $525 on it. The salesperson was very nice and helpful (although he left for about 10-15 minutes and kept us waiting?). So I told the salesman that I wanted that set. When he was ringing up the sale, I was advised of the $109 ""shipping charge"". I explained that I did not need it to be delivered to my home. He said ""that's fine, but the charge still applies."" Since they do not have the set in stock at the Metairie store, it must be shipped from Mobile (and they charge the customer this fee!) In other words, even though it is advertised for $525, you can NEVER get it for that price after you add the mandatory $109 ""shipping fee"". Bait and switch if you ask me. This is bad business.\r\n\r\nUpon delivery, one of my stools came damaged. That was over a month ago. I am still waiting on their ""repair person"". They attempt to repair damaged items before exchanging. What a headache. I don't recommend Rooms To Go at all. I won't be back. A family member had a less than perfect experience as well. (ie. items delivered damaged).

On October 10, 2006, I purchased two bedroom sets, a TV stand, and sofa table from RTG. I paid for this order in full, and expected complete delivery of the above items on October 28, 2006. However, the delivery /set -up that cost me $149.98 and $99.99, respectively , was less than satisfactory. \r\n\r\nMy king bed wasl not assembled due to hardware missing at time of delivery. There is a scratch on the king footboard. Also, one of the glass ornaments on the post of the full bed was not attached to the post. One of the storage boxes for the full bed was not assembled due to missing casters at the time of delivery. The Disney Princess armoire was not delivered twice because the delivery man said that it was damaged on the truck. The TV stand was left in my hallway wrapped in blankets and plastic by the delivery crew. Once my husband unwrapped and set up the TV stand, we noticed that there is a chip of wood missing on the top right side of the TV stand. \r\n\r\nThe hardware for the king bed and what may be casters for the full bed arrived by mail several days after the delivery, but the service technician took weeks to come to assemble the king bed, service the footboard, assemble the storage box for the full bed, or service the TV stand. I was also told that I would be responsible for having ""someone available"" to assist the service technician to assemble the bed that I paid delivery and set-up for. I scheduled for the service technician to come out on Saturday, November 4 in order to accommodate the service technician for what I was told was a ?two man job.? If this is labeled as a two man job, then why is only one service technician available to me? However, the Saturday, November 4th service date was cancelled by Rooms To Go because the service technician was not available. \r\n\r\n\r\n
