I have used Noble's Catering for two events. First was our daughter's wedding reception, also held at the Old Governor's Mansion, on January 6, 2006. We had planned for 150 guests, but about 160 actually attended. The food was delicious and abundant, and the service was professional. We had no problems with the billing, which was fully explained and agreed upon ahead of time, and the fees were very reasonable. The second event that we had catered by Noble's was my parents' 50th anniversary reception in May 2008.. There were about 100 people in attendance. Again, the food was delicious and abundant, the service perfect, and the price was very fair. Our son is now engaged and will be married in October 2014. Of course, the decision on a caterer is up to the bride this time, but I have again endorsed Noble's and am hopeful that I will be enjoying their cuisine once again.

This note is to inform you not to use NOBEL'S Catering (out of Prairieville, Louisiana) for your wedding day caterer. They catered my wedding at the Old Governors Mansion on October 13, 2007 and charged me for 180 people. 141 showed up and they still ran out of food. I tried talking to both Barbara and Jan, the owners, but they are unwilling to see there fault.

The main dish was the fried shrimp. They didn't start cooking the fried shrimp until the middle of the reception. By then half the people had already ate and didn't get any of the shrimp. It cost me $15 per person. I had to pay for 180 even though 141 people showed up.

I tried to get some kind of reimbursement for the fact that half of my guest did not get to eat a bunch of the food being as though they ran out. They said they would give me $20. Ummmm what? I told them to keep their $20 and I would let everyone know, especially upcoming brides, not to use there company.

Ladies, it is true, you get what you pay for!!! Spend the extra money and let your wedding go off great without having to deal with Nobels Caterering after.

Pros: They had a good bit to choose from

Cons: They get you on the price. They give you a low price and give you less food than what you pay for.
