Last year my son bought a turtle from there and because no one could tell me the proper care for it I looked it up on-line. Imagine my surprise when I find out that sliders under 4 inches are illegal because they carry a certain kind of bacteria (that I'm not allowed to say on here) which children are highly susceptible to.
When I called and confronted them with this they said are being sold for "educational purposes", a loophole in the law. That's all fine and dandy but how about informing the parents of this possible contamination BEFORE the animal is bought!
Jump forward a year and against my better judgment, we went back to the store and bought a dwarf rabbit. 10 days later it's dead with no previous signs or warnings. When I call about this that's when they, of course, explain there's a 48 hour refund policy if it dies. 48 hours? Gee, ya think they could cut it any closer to the time of purchase? Regardless if there's a sign (and I pretty sure there's not) isn't it common practice of a "professional" business to inform the buyer of what deadlines there are? When I buy anything electronic, I'm handed my receipt and they TELL ME how long I have.
I will never go back there again and will do my best to make sure no one I know does either.
