It's simply amazing how arrogant a manager can be. "Proverbs 16:18 - Pride precedes a disaster, and an arrogant attitude precedes a fall." Needless to say I did not have a enjoyable experience while visiting this restaurant. I witness management being rude to a customer with a complaint about their food. I decided to just leave. Not a friendly atmosphere and it feels dirty. Something is off with this place and I would not recommend anyone to go there.

unfriendly staff, food taste like a frozen dinner, bathrooms dirty. Long story short I will never spend my money here again, Birmingham has far superior restaurants.

My brought my family to Fuego Cantina & saloon and when we walked in it had a musty smell, so my wife suggested that we sit on the patio. After we got a table on the patio my brother went to the men's room. When he turned the light on a rat ran out right by his foot. He came directly back to my family and told us and we immediately left.

Fuego Cantina is a hot restaurant in the heart of Five Points South, which offers Tex-Mex cuisine. The bar offers daily happy hour specials, and the prices are cheap/reasonable. Also the bar has an extensive drink menu, so you have

I don't know why this restaurant gets such bad reviews. Everything we had there was very good, from the corn and crab nachos to the steak soft tacos with fried jalapeos on top. The cheese dip and chips were great too. Give it a chance!

Came in for dinner at 4:30 on Saturday. Ashton was our waitress and was excellent. Refilled our water atat least 3 times, and helped with menu recommendations. Had the streak tacos and enjoyed them. Wife liked her burrito. Well definitely

I've been to Fuego three times for the tacos. I've only ordered tacos and they've always been great. I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews. On $2 taco night, which I've been to once, you can expect there to be a wait and the wait

With a name like "La Mesa Grill & Cantina", I was expecting a Tex-Mex place. Instead, I found a polite (if somewhat uppity) tapas restaurant in the middle of the Five Points region of Birmingham. The service was fine, no real complaints. The waitress did forget to bring my side dish out until my meal was almost finished (and still charged me full price), but she was friendly and right on task with keeping everything else running along fine. The food was good. I had the Cheviche Spoons for an appetizer (three different tastes - oyster, squid and fish). They were tasty. My main course was the Steak Provoleta, which came as sliced steak atop a piece of provolone cheese. The sauce on it was very tasty, but the deep-fried onion strings it was topped with seemed unneccesary. I ordered the asparagus and habanero hollandaise as a side...it came out late and was unimpressive. Overall, I spent about $35 for a meal for one. It was good, and I left full, but I think I'll explore some other Birmingham restaurants before I go back. It didn't truly grab me as a "must stop".
