The nurses my family delt with were very nice, yet busy. One of the nurse's assistants, CARMEN was a complete, and udder B****. I do NOT understand how she works in a hospital dealing with emergencys in the intensive care unit. She needs to learn CARE before handling precious cargo belonging to one's family members. totally dissatisfied. for the money spent, i would expect some type of care, rather than cold and tasteless. THUMBS DOWN.

My father was in the Banner Baywood ICU for 3 long days last month. My sister and I took turns staying with them. I would take the nights but I could never get any rest. My father was in room 221 which was across from a noisy room full of beeping monitors. The RN said it was called a ??Monitor Room?. The last two nights my father was there, there was a large, robust, warbling, curly haired woman, with the name Janet on her name badge, who was EXTREMELY loud. They were playing loud music, bursting out loudly with laughter and I could hear her and a younger male co-worker using vulgar language from time to time. I had to ask the RN to close my father??s door but I could still hear her voice like nails on a chalk board! The final night we were there I had to break down and sleep in my car for a few hours so I could get some kind of rest. I can??t believe the unprofessional demeanor. I was afraid to complain because I didn??t want them to take any retaliation out on my father??s care. There never seemed to be any supervisors supervising them. God forbid if one of them were. I will never let any of my family go there ever again!!!

Was recommended by obstetrician to go to OB triage only to get passed of to ER where I was in terminal-wait-mode. After hours of being in the ER with nothing to drink and no attention from nurses or doctors, I finally decided to walk--only to have a completely feckless PA pop up out of nowhere.

The nurses were not interested in being helpful, the environment was filthy/depressing, and no one listened. I would have done better to have stayed home and I still have no answers as to what is happening to me.

Because of this experience I am changing OBs, yet again (sadly, I liked the Baywood affiliated doctor I was considering). Unfortunately, I cannot continue with this very likeable and knowledgeable doctor, because I am now absolutely terrified what treatment I would receive in L&D later on in the pregnancy. I just don't want to chance it!

Pros: None

Cons: long waits, lazy nurse staff, dirty, unfriendly

.

Very disorganized, nurses seemed very lazy did not seem to like what they are doing. Call lights were left buzzing and I was left on the toilet with my call light going for over 40 minutes when recovering from surgery.
