My family went there on a Tues night - very quiet, not many customers, yet the service was awful. The server seemed annoyed to have to wait on us, the food was slow to get to us and then tasted terrible. There is nothing authentic about this place, They seem to put more money into their tacky decor than their food/ingredients. Everything tasted as though it had been thawed from frozen and to top it all off, the pompous owner, I believe his name was Fernando, was quite rude to his staff right in front of customers and then proceeded to tell us about how much his restaurant was worth. To me it was tasteless and trashy. I've had better meals at taco bell, with less irritating staff to bother us. Skip this place-they clearly think they do not need our patronage.

The food is great but the building and decorations are worth a phoenix magazine cover!! Every inch is beautifully decorated and has such a homey feeling for a great family dinner!!! We have always enjoyed ourselves here and love the service!

I went with a party of 12 to the new Eva's (pinal) on a Saturday night. Didn't have reservations, and you could tell that even though they were busy, they really tried to make accommodations for us. We wanted to have dinner and watch a concert they were holding in their patio. It took a bit to get our food but everything came out great. The main thing was the manager we dealt with was attentive and professional and really addressed all our needs. I was so happy that we were able to have a great dinner, in a beautiful restaurant with great ambiance, and have an event right outside. The concert was lovely and we were able to spend about 5 hours there. There are not many places that have the ability to serve, and entertain. We really enjoyed ourselves. It is so easy to go out to a chain and have a generic experience but it was wonderful to meet the owner and have a tour and get the history of everything in that restaurant. You really felt you were part of their family. Eva's is ahead of its time and with time they will be PERFECT.

Pros: Service, ambiance, authentic sonoran food, unique concept

Cons: I wish it was bigger.

This review is on the new location on Pinal in Casa Grande. We had a groupof 24 and had called several days in advance so they were all set up for us. The problems started soon after we arrived, when they had only 1 waitress for the whole group. She did her best, but it was not done right. Several of the orders were cold when served. It was 5:30 on a Wednesday, and they were already out of some things. The food was not as good as their other location on Sunland Gin road, and was not well presented. Cost was okay, but are group said they would not go back. The 3 people that ordered soup said it was not hot, and lacked flavor, and it was brought out with their meal. This is the fourth group I know of that have tried this new location and only 1 of those was happy.....sort of bad for a new location.

I have visited Eva's for years and have never been disappointed. Their food is authentic and is prepared fresh every day. Their salsa is awesome and their shredded beef tacos are amazing! Their service is great and depending on what time you go be prepared to wait a little bit, but it is worth the wait!
