Prickett William D Md - Tucson Orthopaedic Institute

I "snow birded" down to Tucson from Minnesota to have shoulder surgery thinking the warm climate will help my healing.
Luckily to my surprise, what ended up the best reason for my successful surgery, was having it performed by Dr. W. Prickett, from Tucson Orthopedic Institute.
I've worked in medicine over 25 years, so I think I have a good sense of getting good care.
From the 1st office visit, to after care, I have to say, Dr. Prickett's bedside manner, surgical management, realistic outcome, was nothing short of amazing.
He treats you person to person. What I mean, he is direct, honest, realistic without condescension.
He instills confidence while under his care. Answers all questions in the patient's. language, not some canned res ponce.
I had the 2 broken bones of my shoulder, scapula, clavicle done at the adjacent NW Hospital, where all but an inept admissions person, was nothing short of spectacular.
It was a difficult surgery, in that I had waited 6+ months to undergo the operation, and it had to be done w/plates & screws.
I cannot recommend him high enough! OK, I wouldn't go so far as to tell you to go ahead and get your shoulder broke up so he can do your surgery, but if you find yourself needing it, it's worth going 1/2 way across the country as I did!
