Rick Fernandez may have been removed from this location but he was transferred to a different location at 5851 E. McKellips Rd. I took my car to them because I have been dealing with a check engine light for months. Rick told me that it was the cam shaft sensor. I authorized them to do the work and 300 dollars later the light was still on. I told him and he said that they just needed to delete the code. His mechanic took 15 minutes to "delete the code" from my car and within miles it came back on. In addition to them not solving the problem my car was running worse than it had before. I finally broke down and took my car to the Kia dealer to have them do the work correctly. I have paperwork showing that the sensory and the piggyback harness they installed in my car were faulty and installed incorrectly. I went back to get my money back from AAMCO and they were no longer at that location. We went to two separate locations and no one will help us. They said we should have taken the car back to the original location instead of going to the dealer. First off, I was uncomfortable returning to AAMCO because I was sexually harassed by Rick. He told me that if I was married to him he would buy me a new car. As I was leaving Rick hugged me and kissed my cheek and told me that if things did not work out with my husband to give him a call. I also have a business card with his personal cell phone number. Secondly, why would I take my car back to a shop that made the problem worse? I am not asking for a lot, I am simply asking that AAMCO return the 300 I spent on repairs they did not do! I will never return to AAMCO and I will be reporting to every possible agency. Their employees have made me feel uncomfortable as well as not fixing the problem they said they fixed. I am disgusted and irritated at the blatant lack of respect, integrity, customer service, and business sense that this company offers!

I have worked with Mitchell on a number of occasions and bring all 3 of our families cars to him. He has always treated me good and taken care of our maintenance and our problems quickly. They keep very busy so a couple of times I had to make an appointment, but that is understandable.

Greatest Transmission shop on Earth ! When I thought that I would have to sell my Jeep, AAMCO by the Santan mall came to the rescue. Mitchell is easy to talk to, found all of the hard to find parts, fix it fast, and he's cute too !

      Thanks AAMCO and Mitch !

I am so happy with the performance of this shop. My transmission needed to be repaired. The new manager Mitchell was very helpful, he explained everything to me in detail, so that
I could understand what needed to be fixed. My car is running great, so happy I found a new place to get my car repaired.

I have taken many cars of my own, as well as sent many friends there and have had all kinds of experiences. I had a few bad experiences when i thought they were trying to rip me off on parts i did not need a long time ago, but since they have been under new management recently, I have had nothing but great experiences. Great guys over there at AAMCO.

I took my car to get repaired to AAMCO San Tan since it over-heated. First quote 1800-2200. Fine, new Head Gasket, New Oil Cooler, fine. They call back and say it's going to cost more around $3500. Fine, it's a Cadillac, parts are expensive they said it would take 5 days, so I rented a car. Call them on day 5 to find out when to pick up the car, they said it would be done that evening, or the next morning, and that they would call. No call. Called them 3x no answer. Went in the next morning to pick up the car, said it was not done yet, they would call in the afternoon. Got the call..."it's going to cost another $1000 plus 2 extra days because now you need 2 catalytic convertors". Fine. Got a call on day it was supposed to be done, the mechanic had an injury and had to be rushed to the hospital, a day later, the mechanic will be out a couple of months so a new guy is coming in to finish up with my car. Finally the car is done, went to pick it up...Hey! look! The mechanic that supposedly is out for a couple of months due to his severe work injury! took car home, making noises. Took it back, and went for a drive with the service advisor, told the guy to roll down the window to hear the noise, and he wouldn't so I rolled mine down. He said he didn't "feel" anything. I told him to HEAR it, not FEEL it. Took it to another shop to have it inspected. All my parts that were supposed to be Cadillac parts are all after-market parts, and I was charged Cadillac part prices. Which is over 50% mark-up. And they cut my exhaust to fit the after-market catalytic convertor on and welded it, when with Cadillac parts, it does not require welding, which is now the reason for the noise, and now to repair the noise I need to have a whole new exhaust system built.

Took 2 weeks, still not running right, after-market parts for Cadillac prices, Liars!!!
Reported to BBB, AAMCO Consumer Affairs, AZ Attorney General.

03/17- Just went back today to follow up since the manager never called back and it's been a week. Rick, the Service Advisor that I have been dealing with. He told me to go F@&K OFF and that he was not going to give me the manager's information or anything. He then said that he does not care about his job, and that he wanted to take me outside and Kick My A$$! Why is this guy still working here? According to Rick, the store manager is never there. No wonder he still has a job even after threatening people, and in reading more reviews, I'm not the only one that he told to F@#K OFF to.

      .

Took my car there and they wanted 2400.00 to rebuild it, and that DID not include any hard parts or the torque convertor. I WAS NOT IMPRESSED THAT RICK tried to rip me off. STAY AWAY!!!

Took it elsewhere and it just needed fluid!!

I took my 2000 Ford F-350 in for a transmission service. I chose to wait for the service to be preformed. My Ford Superduty with 100,000 miles had been serviced at the dealer many times. The underside of the truck was spotless, I have never had a leak of any kind, Also I have only been in Four Wheel Drive three or four times while traveling on vacation to Reno/Tahoe during the winter. Rick Fernandez (manager) showed me my transmission after removing the pan gasket. The gasket was laying on the ground in the dirt, I asked if it would be replaced beings the way it was treated. He told me No because it is a reusable gasket. After the job was complete I returned home, Now mind you I park in the dirt and cant see oil leaks. A couple weeks later while at work I looked under my truck and noticed a nice transmission leak. When I arrived home I did a further inspection and came to the conclusion that the Transmission gasket was leaking. I returned my truck to Aamco and Rick Fernandez put it up on the rack. Now heres where it gets funny, He pointed out that a bolt was missing from the transmission pan, I looked closely, The threads were VERY CLEAN and if it had been leaking for three weeks there would be plenty of dirt build up, and since I had done an inspection on it that morning (No bolts were missing) Rick Fernandez told me he would replace the bolt, BUT also said the leak was not the transmission pan or gasket BUT from the Transfer case. He said it would be around $1200.00 to $1500.00 to repair it. I asked for a written estament but he would not provide me with one. Not only that he VOIDED my warrinty from the service HE preformed on my Transmission Service, Transmission Pan and gasket. I disagreed whit him about the missing bolt and disagreed with him on where the leak was. So he told me to "F' off and get out of his shop! I brought my truck to Rick Smith Auto Care, 3051 E Main St, #102, Mesa, AZ 85213 (480) 830-9445 where he took one look and said it was my transmission gasket, So he preformed another transmission service, New Filter, New OEM gasket, and new fluids for $65.00. Well I no longer have a leaking transmission, And it is good as new. They returned my Pan Gasket, you know the one that was on the ground in the dirt at Aamco, It still had a couple pebbles that compromised the gasket. My transfer case did not need rebuilding. I have reported Rick Fernandez and Aamco to the BBB and he failed to reply. DO NOT USE Aamco Transmissions at 2319 S Val Vista Dr, Gilbert, AZ. Rick Fernandez is a liar and a scam artest.
