The Sheraton Phoenix Downtown is located in the center of the city, and is adjacent to the Phoenix Convention Center. It's also a short drive to the airport. The hotel itself is beautiful and the outdoor pool is huge.

The rooms are ok. I was put in a room that obviously hadn't been used in a while as there was dust everywhere and had to ask for clean sheets. The sink in the bathroom sprayed water when you turned on the hot water.

The staff some was very friendly like the luggage guys and a couple of the valet guys. The house keepers and food servers were not friendly at all. THe food was mediocre at best and was way over priced. The drinks at the bar were ok.

The charge for parking is outrageous. Its about $17 to park it yourself overnight ant $27 for valet. And you really don't have a choice. With taxes and everything it was was over priced.

The beds were very soggy and overly soft which hurt my back. I've stayed at several sheratons and this was is definately not up to par with the other Sheratons. Its ok if you are downtown going to a concert or suns game but just for convenience. I probably will NOT be staying there again.

The location of the hotel was perfect; however, I found the staff to be less than helpful. They seemed as if they would rather be elsewhere. Person at the coffee counter never greated me nor thanked me for my patronage. I felt as if I was a major inconvience for her. It would have been different if there were people waiting in line for coffee, but there was no one at the hotel. I also ordered a coffee drink that had too much syrup. I asked her to remake the drink. She remade the exact same syrupy drink, even though I asked her to cut the syrup by half. Yuk!

Pros: Location

Cons: Unfriendly staff, parking is expensive
