Also AMAM is a scam even if it's a SAG franchised agency. The owner tries to make money out of her talents. She sends new talents to HER photographers even if the talent has already a strong portfolio. She SELLS business cards, headshots and comp cards with the agency logo. A legitimate modeling agency will never ask you to pay for these marketing tools (with the agency logo). They will invest in you and make their money back when they get you work. Another thing that models legitimately need but should never be expected to pay for is a comp card with the agency logo. Seriously, the agency and only the agency is going to use those comp cards with the logo and it's not acceptable to pay for those. It is also irritating that the agency owner plays favorites and only advertises a few talents by posting their news and pictures on the agency website or on her facebook page. She only sends e-mails with the GOOD opportunities (not 100$ gigs) to her "favorite" talents and if you are not one of them...well you will keep finding your own gigs through Craiglist and ModelMayhem.
I am happy to be independent again!

PLEASE GIRLS AND GUYS AND PARENTS READ THIS:

This "modeling agency" is most defiantly a SCAM. I have no anterior motives but to tell you the truth. Trust me, I get just excited about "auditions" just like the rest of you. I had high hopes for this agency, got a "3:15 appointment" first of all IT IS NOT AN APPOINTMENT, it's a freaking zoo, of all kinds of people shapes and sizes, pretty and unattractive people, they literally invite anyone and everyone to this "appointment" I waited around for almost 2 hours just to be seen!!

I get into the room, there were about 6 people sitting around watching me. I read a little script into a camera and then they started raving about how beautiful I am, they are very good about making you feel good about yourself. They kept telling me id be the perfect model....Then, low and behold, they ask me if I can "afford" (as in 300-400 dollars) to get pictures done through THEIR, key word, THEIR PHOTOGRAPHERS. I laughed and told them I'm a 22 year old student who pays for everything by myself, in no way do I have that kind of money. I told them I know a professional fashion photographer who would do my pictures and the owner Terri laughed and said no. But she continued to try and convince me to come up with money, that i'd be "perfect" for them. Well if i'd be Soo perfect how come i'd have to pay for their freaking photographers to get my pictures done.

Everyone this is a SCAM, a SCAM SCAM SCAM. NO and I repeat NO legitimate modeling agency will never ask a penny from you!! YOU are their investment, they should be willing to take a risk and put money into YOU if they are a true agency,

Please don't waist your time with them, like I did, and do some research before you dare to walk foot into that ZOO of a "modeling agency" My guess is that they make money off of naive, desperate, people that they pump false hope into and convince them to pay s Sh** ton for photos and then those people never hear back...Sad and pathetic place, DONT WAISTE YOU TIME.

Check out this website: http://teenadvice.about.com/od/adviceexpert/a/newmodel.htm it will tell you all about legitimate agencies...do your research!!

Not impressed at all with the way this company and its employees conducted themselves today when I took my 8 year old son for an appointment. His appointment (or should I call it a cattle call) was scheduled for 3:15. Without being told ahead of time that this was an open call and that there would be multiple people with the same time as us, I proceeded to ask questions in regards to why this wasn't explained in the email that I had received. Apparently the fact that I raised the issue with the time situation it caused the employees to find me being rude. I to beg differ! What was rude was when my son was finally called into the room to be interviewed they decided to question me about what my problem was and what I didn??t understand about the process right in front of my son. Absolutely unprofessional, and not at all necessary. If there was a problem with me, attacking me in front of my son was not the way to address the issue. Apparently they have very little respect and feel as though they think they can say and act however they choose. Just a place full of egotistical ignorant disrespectful losers who have terrible judgment on what is acceptable in front of a child and what is not.

I was signed with Signature for a year. Very unprofessional. Hard to reach anyone through the phone or email. I was signed for an entire year and they gave me ONE audition. Just a big lousy scam!

This is NOT a good agency. You can't ever get a hold of them-unless they want to talk to you then lookout cause they will let you have it!! Their "up front fees" are a sneaky way to skim off a little extra cash. They DO get their talent jobs. But, they are not an agency I would ever be represented by. They will stab you in the back and then give you a hug.

My daughter has been signed with Signature for nearly 2 years now and has been notified of 3 auditions total. I'm not sure if the market for kids is small or if that isn't their priority but I must admit, we expected more. Terri and her staff seem very busy all of the time and are difficult to get ahold of. I'm not sure we'll sign again with them next year.

We love our agent Terri, and we love Signature Models and Talent! This is a legit agency, and YES-- unlike other "agencies" that take your money and promise you everything, Signature Models and Talent only gets paid when they book you/your child(ren). Great company. Great Agency. They can be trusted!

This is a legitimate agency in the Phoenix area. They have good people, they are nice and they are not a ripoff company. Arizona is a smaller market but Signature manages to get their clients out on the auditions that come here. Being involved in the business, I think it is important for others to know the good agencies and the scams and this is a good agency.
