Chic and Cool

by linda m. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,400

This is a place to be seen in the Valley. It is a beautiful and fashionable place to stay or visit for an evening. It is expensive and luxurious. The staff is excellent and you would expect them to be as the place is expensive which you would also expect for a world class hotel. It is a boutique type property. We often take out of town guests there for the evening for dinner and drinks.

Douchebaggery prevails at W

by hairpuller888

Who likes money? Obviously, none of the bartenders in W. After ordering one cocktail and a glass of water, the butthead behind the bar immediately closed out my tab. I had just gotten off a flight, checked into my hotel, and wanted to unwind. Apparently, my U.S. Dollars were not good enough for them. Too bad, because I would have spent some coin in there. Really, I was on a junket paid for by my company, and I couldn't get anything there except for rudeness and repeated eyerolls.

This place is an example of how to NOT treat your patrons. They should all be fired and replaced with robots, because robots would have more compassion.

Pros: none (hot chicks, though)

Cons: 'Can I get some service please?'
