Awesome ambiance here-the best in the city for bar-b-que places. Would recommend. The prices are okay (a little expensive), but the food is good enough to give it a try. I happen to think Famous Daves is far better, but we really like El Paso b-b-q.

Pros: Awesome abmiance

Cons: pricey; a little too "chain restaurant looking inside" but still nice

Stopped in for lunch today as I was craving for sweet potato fries. Had the delicious Easterner BBQ, which included pulled pork ala Carolina style (vinegar-based) topped with tasty cole slaw and I chose sweet potato fries as my "side kick." I enjoyed the table cornbread (made with sweet corn kernels, red and green chile peppers) later in the evening-it tasted very good... put it this way, I ate most of the bread sans corn kernels even though I have a corn allergy... I am suffering through abdominal pain as I type this review! While the sweet potato fries are a little better over at Redfish Bar and Grill (you have to try their crabcake sandwich!), I plan to try other El Paso entrees since the menu boasts all of its entrees are made fresh in-house.

Pros: Good, although greasy, cornbread; good BBQ and cole slaw

Cons: long wait for food; Greasy, but delicious cornbread

Their barbecue sauce is to die for. Great ribs and pulled pork, something for the whole family. Their menu is for the whole family.

If you like babyback ribs...you are in for a treat! They smoke them overnight, and are they tender!
The other menu items are all smoked, too, including the prime rib...which is AWESOME!
Our server, Kathy was very knowledgeable on the sauces and the menu, not to mention funny. Ask for her if she's available.
Dessert was the mud pie, which is always a favorite!
Happy eating!
