I have enjoyed playing there every year for 30 years. I have watched the staff and members transform a great 9 hole course into a tough 18 hole course. I too liked the new bar mentioned before. It has been fun to watch the back 9 mature and now I will put it up against any course in the area.

This is a great golf course. I am not sure what course the other review is reviewing. I just heard the MN Senior Amateur is at Cloquet CC this year. With over 90 new members this year and an extra early spring 2012 is set to be a great year to play at CCC. If you get the chance to play here I think you will agree.

This is not much of a golf course. Years of mismanagement, inadequate maintenance, and lazy members who never repair ball marks or divots have left this course a mess. The new back nine can not grow grass. When I was a member, the fairways were not mowed for most of the time I was there because the grass did not grow. They call the back nine's hard pan, grassless fairways "links golf". Don't waste your time going here!
Pros: None
Cons: Everything was in poor shape including the aging clubhouse with white waterproofing on the roof.
