This is great, inexpensive seafood. My partner and I both had the calamari tacos, and they were great. We could have shared a single order and would have had enough, for $6.95 total. I will be back soon

Pros: The food, the prices

Cons: none

.

I like Sea Salt and understand the appeal but I really can't justify the wait time for the food. The food was good, not out of this world in my opinion, but good for Minnesota saltwater fare. The management should really look at the flow of traffic and come up with some solutions. I'm all for waiting for fresh home cooked meals but a shrimp po-boy shouldn't take 1 hour to make.

Pros: Fresh saltwater seafood

Cons: Extremely long wait times

Sea salt is a must for anyone who wants a cold brew and a delish soft-shell crab sandwich. All in gorgeous Minnehaha Park!

Sea Salt is the twin cities most amazing sea food place. It's only seasonal, they get all of their fish fresh daily from coastal seafoods market- the twin cities best seafood importer. It's casual, they have a ton of out door seating, and there isn't anything on the menu not worth trying. They also serve a variety of beers, including surly, the twin cities local brew. I love this place for how much local support they give, and get.

Pros: Crab cakes to die for, calamari, do it yourself seating, friendly staff

Cons: please, like theres a con to this place.

This is my favorite Minneapolis restaurant during the summer. I always order the Oil Pan that comes with tons of oysters, shrimp, pickled herring and a bottle of wine for under $50. The line can be long but is well worth the wait. This place is great for dates. There is usually live music out on the patio, and after dinner you can take a stroll around Minnehaha falls.

Yes, its a long line to order your food, I know. Why do you think there is such a long wait though? The food is better than the high price seafood joints downtown at a quarter of the price. Make sure to have someone to chat with during the wait in line and enjoy a beer durning that wait. The food is well worth it!

Pros: best seafood low cost

Cons: long wait

Is the food good? Of course. The problem being you will have to wait way too long to find out just how good. I have been there 3 times and each time the wait has gotten worse. I'm no restaurant manager, but something tells me that 6 employees all working at a snails pace while 1 employee works a ridiculously long line at the register doesn't make for a smooth operation.

If you like great seafood at reasonable prices (cough cough Oceanaire) then try Sea Salt! The owners used to work for Coastal Seafoods so they definitely know how to cook seafood properly! From raw oysters to amazing crab cakes - this place is an treasure in Minnehaha Park!

After a recent third trip to Sea Salt, I can see what all the fuss is about. The entrees are well prepared, and I am always impressed by the quality of the seafood (giant prawns!!). With a cold beer, music in the bandshell, and warm summer weather, Sea Salt is hard to beat! I have heard that there are long waits on the weekends, but we have never had a problem on a weeknight.
