I have used Anderson Dry Cleaners for the past 5 years and have found them to have great service. I can rely on them to return my items just the way I want them. Stains removed and just the right amount of starch. The Edina location does excellent alterations too. They have several locations, so they are convenient too. All in all friendly and trustworthy.

I brought in a fragile vintage gown for cleaning. I mentioned these facts to the staff person but noted they didn't write it down or ask me to sign a release. A week later when I came to claim the dress, it could not be located. The next morning (Saturday) at 7 a.m., the manager of the Grand Ave. location called to say the dress had been found but not yet cleaned, and that I'd have to come back in to sign a waiver since it was vintage. I did, and this manager did not apologize or act like there was anything wrong with this mishap. I assumed they would clean the dress for free, but when I came back five days later, they charged me $25 (which they said was a 20% discount) and said I should have taken the dress elsewhere when I had the chance. Incidentally, all the small stains were still on the dress and it was hanging by the fragile lace at the neck while the lingerie loops were unused. So in review, in two weeks time, Anderson Cleaners lost, found, did not clean and treated a vintage dress with utter disregard, much like their customer service. Horrible! Stay away.

Cons: "misplace" clothing, total lack of service

.

I would steer clear of Anderson's Cleaners if you require even marginal customer service at your dry cleaner. Shortly before Christmas, I was told that a pair of my (brand new) black dress pants had been misplaced. I realize this type of thing happens, but the way in which this has error been handled has been nothing less than infuriating. Over the past several weeks, I have spoken with countless employees, left phone messages for the general manager, and even had an employee write the manager an email on my behalf. There has been no response from the manager. My pants have not been located. There has been no compensation offered. Mistakes do happen, things get misplaced, but the total lack of response from the manager is inexcusable. Bottom line: take your clothes elsewhere, unless you have countless hours to waste when Anderson's Cleaners loses them.

After my wedding reception, my gown was filthy! The bottom of my dress was stained with everything from dirt and grime to spilled wine and wedding cake. I was so scared the stains would be permanant! Thankfully, Andersons and their team at Payne Ave, took the time to meet with me and let me know exactly what needed to be done, even informed me of sugar stains and the special process thats required to remove them. The entire preservation service took about 3 weeks, and in the end, my gown was beautifully cleaned and presented to me in an acid free chest with a great little window for me to see my dress whenever I feel like it.. and I often do!!

Pros: 8 Twin Cities stores for me to use

Cons: I wish there were 10!
