Snooty dress shop for occasions. The salesclerk was obviously unimpressed with me after sizing me up at the door and asking "can I help you? in a down your nose way. I asked her about a evening jacket for my mother, and she promptly escorted me to a rack of beautiful shawls and pointed to a "sale" rack. Clothing looked nice but the clerk made me feel unwelcome. Too bad, for the clerk, I might have dropped the over $200 for the perfect gift for my mother's 75th birthday. But I'm not sad or mad, because my money didn't go to pay that clerk's salary.
