Mia and Maxx

I have been going to Felicia for over 2 years now, and have gotten so many of my friends to start going to her! She is not only an amazing hairstylist, but she is such a talented young woman who treats every person who comes in with respect, and thrives to give them exactly what they want in a hairstyle. I am very very picky about my hair, ( i am a 20 year college student... the pickiest.) and everytime I usually leave it up to her imagination to turn my head into an art piece. Always beautiful and perfect!!!!

I've always had fantatstic haircuts at Mia and Maxx, no matter who cut my hair. It was always exactly what I wanted, plus a little extra style I didn't expect but which was really, really great! My favorites are the two Jamie's and Leslie. Yay!

I honestly can't believe what I just read! My god you sound like a vindictive hateful person. I have been going to Felicia for years and she always is very personal and listens in detail to what I want and I have always went away very pleased. I have never had my hair done by the others in the staff but I have seen their work and they are all professional stylists.

I recently went to Felicity ( or something like that I am not completely sure what her name was) because my normal hairstylist was no longer there and they wouldn't tell me where she went.I asked for the salon manager because she would be professional and have the most experience. That was most certainly not true. This lady was one of the rudest people I have ever came into contact with. I had a 10:00 appointment and had to be somewhere at 12, she showed up 15 minutes late. Not only that it looked like she had just rolled out of bed. Her hair was wet and pulled back in a pony tail and she was dressed very sloppy. This should have been my first sign to run. One of my other friends had went to her before and she did a good job on her hair. She must have thought I was not up to her standards. She didn't even speak to me or care about what she did to my hair. She cut it and sent me out the door and it was awful. The layers are so short on top it almost looks like a mullet. While I was in there some of the other stylist were talking about some very inappropriate things and the manager failed to say anything to them. When I went to this salon before it was a very friendly and professional place minus a couple of people. Now I wouldn't recommend this nut house to anybody.

Because of the two former reviews of Shelby, I went to her today - yeah!!! She is SO WONDERFUL! She is really and truly a GREAT STYLIST, and really listens and hears what you want, & DOES IT! She is comfortable in her role because she is so skilled! Go to SHELBY, she will know exactly how to treat your hair and make you look FABULOUS! SHELBY ROCKS! :-)

I agree that Shelby is the best!! She always does an amazing job highlighting my hair. I moved to Chicago from Bloomington after I finished school and I still drive all the way down for her to do my hair!!

I went to Mia and Maxx to get a haircut because I had a discount coupon I'd received as a gift from my husband, but I will definitely keep going at the regular price. I have only had my hair done in a salon 4 times in my whole life, I always cut my own hair both for fun and for financial reasons. This time, however, I was trying to grow it out and simply could not get it to look decent without cutting quite a bit off. I went in and a sweet girl named Shelby not only cut my hair, but when I told her I was very interested in hair cutting, she explained what she was doing and why every step of the way. She only cut off what was absolutely necessary to make it even and look like an on-purpose style, and raised my confidence hugely! I love the atmosphere here, they can do anything from old-fashioned to in-the moment trendy, and they all seem to have a great time while they're doing it! I LOVE this salon and the people who work there, and the prices are more than worth it! Don't forget to tip @ least 15%, like servers, stylist wages assume that you will be compensated in part by your customers, and are not as high as you might think.
