Today's Pet

I went to this place for the first time last night 10-07-09 looking for a female Sugarglider, well let me first say...I would not buy a goldfish from this store!....does animal control know about the conditions of this store??? Does animal control or the health department check on places like this??

My god, I counted 45 parakeets in one small cage, there were so many crammed into this cage that the perches were full and about 10 of them had to sit on the wire floor of the cage.

There were also several different types of parrots jammed into one cage (Amazons and African Greys) the bird cages so crammed into a tiny room it was a disgrace. There were dead fish in a few tanks as well. There is no way that this place should be allowed to sell puppies...which also looked very unhappy.

I will never go back to this place nor will I recommend it to anyone, for goodness sake clean the place up or cut back on your animals. I would rather go without a Sugarglider than to buy one from this place.

Very very disappointing store, this place really needs to be cleaned up

I bought a pair of dwarf rabbits. They told me they were 11-13 weeks old. A week later, the vet put one at 8 weeks. They are barely old enough to leave their mother at 8 weeks. Also, it has heart disease. They have a 30 day life/health thing...so they send it back where it came from, where it is killed, I bet. I could never return a pet that has bonded so well with my children, and is much loved by them. I'm sure Today's Pet is counting on that, too. I asked them for the address to send the bills for the special care this will need. We'll see what they say.

this place misleads you to think it is a good place but it is not! The poor leopard geckos that look like they are SO malnutritioned and poorly taken care of that look half dead it is the saddest thing EVER :'( NEVER buy your animals there because then you will be supporting this nonsense and it is OUR duty to notify them of this!

I have been to this store plenty of times, mostly to look at the reptiles and rabbits. I cringe every time I have to walk past the dog " kennel" , hearing young children and teenagers begging mom and dad for one, or families playing with the dogs in the designated area, not to mention the outrageous prices on these poorly bred puppy mill dogs. The most disturbing part is the larger breeds like the greyhounds or labs , that can't even stand straight up without bending down a little. The store also smells and is packed wall to wall with animals. Don't support the store!! Adopt your animals from animal shelters or irresponsible humans who buy their animals from these kind of sick stores.

This store is horrible. Not only do they get their dogs from puppy mills, the store is just plain filthy. Every time I walk by and look in the window, water bowls are empty or disgusting, food bowls are disgusting and the cages are way too small for the animals and they're filthy as well.

I also can not help but mention the evil of this store. They sell animals in a place where people make impulse buys and guess where most of the animals go when the people get it home and realize the responsibility of pet ownership? Shelters. And there aren't enough homes for all the dogs in shelters and these puppies are put to sleep. This store is essentially killing dogs.

I cannot recommend this shop as they merchandise mill dogs but I have found a needed hard to find item for my pet there. Rescue is a great place to start your search for a puppy. Located in Columbia Mall.

Do not support this store. Don't even buy shampoo or treats from this place. They sell dogs that come from puppy mills. The dogs are not healthy looking and they cage them in tiny cages. Some are obviously sick and have runny stools.

This store sells live dogs in store - that come from puppy mills from around the country - You can see the Hunt Co trucks deliver them. Please do not buy dogs here
