Just so everyone is aware....the Postal Secretary (located next door to coccoacinnos) seriously overcharges. In the past I have used them for mostly drop offs or buying stamps and the people are very nice. However today I mailed a priority mail flat rate box and they upped the price by 40%. I questioned why it was so high and was merely told that was the rate - not that they add a $5 service charge etc. When I got home and realized the rate was really significantly lower than their charge I called and they were not helpful. I understand they are a private business and need to stay open but they need to have more transparency and let the customers know when they add fees, especially after I questioned the price. Furthermore a 40% increase on a flat rate mailing seems absurdly high. I will not use them again and advise others not to as well.

My wife relied on a Postal Secretary (PS) person that Express Mail cost of $39.95 for mailing 2 pages in an envelope from Baltimore to Israel was the same as that of the post office, and charged the $39.95. I asked the same PS person whether her charge was the same as that of the post office and heard her say that it was. I called USPS and found out that its charge would have been $29.95. I asked for credit of $10.00 which she refused and said that PS adds a surcharge to the post office rate. A PS ad says that PS is an authorized shipper for the USPS and shows a picture of the USPS logo. I disputed $10.00 of the charge which is now under review by my credit card company. Be careful if you deal with PS. I certainly don't trust the company.

In follow-up, by letter dated July 12, 2011 my credit card company notified me that it has credited my account for $10.00 relating to my complaint about the Postal Secretary.

Another reviewer asked how the Postal Secretary could stay in business if it didn't add the extra charge. They appear to get a certain amount back from the USPS since they advertise that they are an authorized shipper of the USPS and use the USPS logo.

I took a UPS package to this store at 10:14 a.m. on Friday. It was not picked up until Monday with an estimated delivery date in Chicago on Wednesday.
Draw your own conclusions.I had used this store previously for copying but will never again patronize them.
