I know the owner, Pedro. A really nice guy. They have some of the best rice I have had, it's very simple, but flavorful. I'd recommend the jamaican chicken, or seafood soup. (I do not like seafood, but my friends ordered it and said it was great, and the order was HUGE!) They have pretty good Oaxacan-style tamales and the plato tipico de el Salvador is good if you like Salvadoran food. (Pupusas, etc). The desert of an ice cream sundae in a cinnamon fried tortilla (what they call a napolean) is pertty good. The waitresses are ok. Most very young with skirts somewhere in the upper thigh area. I don't know why, but most have no idea of what comes with what food on the menu. I don't think they really care. they can special order some things that are not on the menu, just ask. Upstairs they have a bar area with a pool table and sometimes have spanish karaoke. Mostly drunk guys singing corridos or spanish love songs. Ugh. I still say the rice is best.

We liked the food here so much, we went back the next night. I had an enchilada combo and my husband had carne asada. Both our meals were HUGE. Nice atmosphere. Friendly waiters. Practiced my Spanish and nobody laughed, so we went back the next night.
