Eden Used Auto Parts

I purchased a 96 Civic EX engine from Eden with a warranty for $850. I am a Certified Honda Technician with 10 yrs of Honda tech experience. and I work at the local Honda dealer. The engine arrived clean and in decent visual condition. The install was nice and easy and a new Honda t belt and tuneup was performed to guarantee a good running engine. After starting the car for the first time I noticed poor idle quality and lack of power with a check engine light on. I pulled the code, p0304, cyl #4 misfire. I pulled out the trusty compression tester and found that Cyl #4 had 90 psi(normal for this engine is at least 150psi).I contacted Eden and upon being belittled by George(he disagreed with my diagnosis)I was told that they will "work with me". I call George back a week later and left him a message. Its been 2 weeks and I have heard nothing from them. I removed the cylinder head and found the cause, a bent valve. So for $850 I received an engine that runs poorly and needs more work. They say there is a warranty but they dont stand behind it at all. Beware of George and Eden auto parts.
