Just held a rehearsal dinner for 40+ guests at Mountain Branch. We chose the filet and crabcake dinner and it was absolutely outstanding! The filets were thick and cooked to perfection. The crabcakes were moist and not bready. The bar service was excellent, serving only high end liquors.
The waiters did a good job overall, but some of the guests were served their dessert before they had finished their meal. Some of the creme brulees were creamy on the bottom, but were replaced with firmer ones on request.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Our guests were extremely impressed and we had very positive feedback. I'd highly recommend this restaurant to cater your event.
5-08 If you want to have a dependably good meal, better not choose Mountain Branch Pub. I was there in April with a group. We had an extremely professional server and our lunches were well-prepared and nicely presented. On a recent evening, things were quite the opposite. It took three tries to get the correct cocktail. The crab appetizer, which took over one-half hour to arrive, featured a miniscule amount of some fishy substance. Dinners, which were very much delayed, came with luke-warm potatoes. Blackened seafood was so spicy it was almost inedible. Folks around us did not seem to be having the same long delays as our party. In sharing my experience with others in the neighborhood, I have heard many similar stories. When things are going well at Mountain Branch, they can be very, very good. But sometimes it can be very disappointing.
This is the restaurant at Mountain Branch Golf Course. It has above average food at decent prices. Great atmosphere. It can get pretty crowded on the weekends so call ahead for reservations. Its one of the nicest restaurants in the Perry Hall/White Marsh area and well worth a visit.
