Room2Play

I've taken my 2 1/2 yo son to Room2Play twice during open play hours on Sunday mornings.

It has always been bright (even on rainy days), clean and friendly and my son is always asking to go back!

I've been there with a girl friend and her 4 yo son finds the open play room equally enjoyable. They have toys for every developmental stage...and plenty to challenge both gross and fine motor skills. Not to mention books, blocks, a "kitchen", musical instruments, dress up "closet", toy trains, trucks and more.

Free parking is available down the street. The neighborhood is a relatively safe Chicago neighborhood (South Side doesn't necessarily equal more crime people!) I even checked EveryBlock Chicago before I went -- safer than where I live in the West Loop. :-P

Room2Play just started offering children's classes. They have art, music, preschool readiness, just to name a few. The classes are small, taught by certified teachers and the kids really enjoy them. I would recommend.

In my opinion, Room2Play is one of the cleanest play places that we have been to. My two girls always ask to go back and we are glad to have a place to play in the south loop!

Room2Play is a wonderful place for children and parents. The big open space and colorful murals are inviting. Toys and all the things for make-believe play abound. The place is also very clean and the staff is sincerely helpful, it is obvious they love children. My 4 year-old son gets very excited when I mention it to him. I have also been to a birthday party and a concert there and the versatile space was ideal for both. We look forward to attending their summer camp.
