Woodbury Kitchen

Woodberry Kitchen has knocked my socks off! The menu is inspired by the locavore/slow food movements, and focuses on local and seasonal foods. Chef Spike Gjerde (of local fame) has crafted a winner - from basic foods (a surprisingly delicious popcorn appetizer, deviled eggs) to nice surprises (pork with pesto hominy hash), I haven't eaten anything less than stellar here. The staff is knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. The space is warm, roomy, and full of interesting art, old farm implements, etc... lots to look at but it doesn't feel kitschy. The place is consistently packed, so I would recommend reservations - even weeknights are busy. The bar stocks a great wine selection, and I would also recommend their specialty cocktails.
