There are some compelling reasons why Sharp Park Golf course should stay open. Besides adding value to the homes in the community and the city itself, a golf course no matter how neglected will always be maintained at a greater level than a natural habitat, which is another name for "weeds gone wild", with a laissez-faire maintenance policy and letting the harsh nearby ocean elements weather and brown the grounds to a rather unattractive surrounding.

From a golfing perspective, Sharp Park may not be at the level of some of the pristine courses, but neither are it's prices. It's a great choice for beginners, locals, and those that aren't that serious about the game, with a view that's unparalleled.

Sharp Park provides a poor quality game. Golf courses are in danger of closing throughout the Bay Area because of the slumping economy and declining play. The longer we subsidize this place with taxpayer money, the more likely it is that some other, better course will close, and our game will be worse because of it. Spend your money at other courses where you'll get a better value and the game can be preserved.

This course was designed by Alistair McKenzie, who also designed Cypress Point and Augusta National. The original design ran along the beach in Pacifica, but heavy storms in the early 90's trashed them and it was rerouted. Now the tree huggers in San Francisco (the course is run by the City of S.F even though it is in Pacifica) are threatening to turning the whole place into a marsh to save the spotted three legged cross eyed Newt - Owl or sumthing. Don't let it happen. This is a historic course with tons of potential - if they put some money into it, tourists would flock to play a pristine ocean side Alistair McKenzie course just south of S.F. Currently the place is a good layout with crummy conditioning. They need to pump it up, not knock it down.

Sharp park has been around for a very long time and it looks it. It can use a face lift but overall it's a good course. They have a nice range to practice for a few dollars. great scenery

I trully love going to this popular restaurant located on the Sharp Park Golf Course.
The food is fresh and prepared to perfection. Try any dish and you'll come back again.
We enjoy the chef's specials, which is posted nightly on a board. The fresh fish dishes are our favorites.
Waitress's, bus boy's, bartender's and the hostess's/host's are all very nice and helpful.
