A couple of quick points before I begin

1. Sorry if this is a little long winded
2. This is no way a reflection of the park itself
3. This is about a specific person we dealt with
4. If there are spelling or grammatical error IM SORRY! just writing from my heart

Okay here we go, So while on craigslist we found an ad for an open space at the mobile home park. Let me say we LOVE were we currently are located except that we have to move our home every 60 days. So we have been looking for a longer term mobile park. I am completely aware of the squatting laws so no need to get into that. This place advertised 3-8 month lease so we thought GREAT! 8 Months is ideal for us. So the Ad was posted and we called within the hour. The answering service said we would have to call at 8am so we did. The lady made an appointment to show up at 2pm and we did. After getting the application that we were COMPLETELY willing to fill out there and submit right away. We were told no you have to take the application home and make an appointment to submit the application. She gave us a Thursday 11am appointment and so we took the application home filled it out right away had all proper paperwork necessary ready.

So thursday comes around we took time off of work to submit the paperwork and willing to do whatever we needed to do to make this happen.

ok let me say on a side note here I am not one to pull the race card.

So as we walk in she says "Oh I have bad news, We received an application and accepted it" So my dad ask why were we not even given a chance. She tells us "Oh because this guy was willing to stay fill out the application and turn it in on the spot." so my dad tell her "You said you did not accept applications on the spot and that everyone had to make an appointment." she goes on to say "Don't argue with me I follow the law to the "T" I time and date stamp ALL applications. He was accepted and thats it" my dad then goes on to tell her "I am not arguing with you I am just speaking with you" she goes on to say "It sure sounds like your arguing with me" (Let me say this my dad was SPEAKING to her not yelling or arguing with her)

At this point in my head I am thinking NO WAY I would not want to live in a place like this. So I tell my dad in SPANISH that's enough let's go its not worth our time or energy to give to this place.

She goes on to say "Do you want to leave your application or NOT, I don't think were a right fit anyway" she also admitted that a few other people "YELLED" at her that day First off if you would have been considerate and CALLED people to let them know there was an accepted application and that the place was not longer available then people maybe would have not "YELLED" at you No consideration that people are taking time off from the JOBS to make their living situation a little better.

I could tell my dad was feeling defeated after this. It hurt me to see the disappointment in my eyes. Here is where I say I don't play the race card but it makes it kind of difficult to not think that when all you see is WHITE residents when driving through the park. Now, I don't blame the residence OR the PARK as I stated previously, but if let me say this. If racism is not a something your park doesn't practice you should think about the PEOPLE you hire.

I have only written ONE bad review in my life (Because I am the type of person that believes everyone deserves a fair chance and I believe that if you see a hard working employee then you should give a place a chance) so many times I have seen bad reviews to good places and I have seen those places have GOOD employees who work hard. I think sometimes reviews can be unfair. That being said I would NEVER give this place another chance only because of their unprofessional employee.

If anyone has had a similar experience with this place please let me know. Now those of you who just want to slam on me go ahead I am only writing about MY experience.

Very old and established mobile home park and the end of the castro valley blvd. near center street. Some of the mobile homes look run down and it seems to be mostly seniors on a fixed income that live there.
