I was traveling with my Mother, Sister, and niece on Saturday morning 05/29/10, we were on our way to pick up my Aunt for a road trip to Modesto CA. It was 4am when I pulled into the Valero on Glendale Ave. I had a flat tire off the rim. The man attending the station that morning made a bad situation into a nightmare! I parked my truck under the light next to a pump (it was dark at 4am) so I could find the tools to change the tire. He asked for us to move the truck. We told him we would, we just wanted to find the tools we needed under the light. He came back about 5 min later very agressive and rude...demanding we move the truck at that moment. I went to move the truck to a close parking stall but he was not satisfied...he demanded I move the truck clear on the other side of the station. I was afraid to drive that far because I would ruin the rim. He began to argue with my sister and yelled horrible disrepectful things to her. In front of my Mother and her daughter he yelled for her to "suck his dick" and he told her to "go get laid" ! He said so many other horrible things I could not believe he was treating us that way! He claimed to be the owner of the franchise and that we needed to do as he says because it was his business. He said he didnt come to our home and tell us how or what to do in our home. All this because I wouldnt move my truck where he wanted me to move it. He claimed he was going to call the police and he didnt....instead he took my plate # and threatened that he has a son that is a cop and all he needs to do is give him the plate number and his son will give him the address where we live...(My family and I took that as a threat) We finally had a male family member (cousin) come to the scene to help us change the tire. The guy kept comming in and out of the station office to verbally abuse us My cousin finally had enough and gave him a big push and demanded he stop talking to us that way...The Valero attendant/owner then got agressive with my cousin so my cousin grabbed a crowbar and threatened to hit him with it...I was asking the Valero man to please leave us alone so we could change the tire and we could leave...we didnt want any problems...he would not listen! Fianlly when he realized we called the police he decided to apologize a be helpful...I asked him to take his apology back into the office...the situation was way over an apology...Instead of being concerned that 4 females pulled into his station in the dark at 4am and try to offer some help...he gave us a bigger problem and turned the situation from being a simple flat tire that my sister and I could of fixed, into a horrible experiance that we all had to deal with...I was so stressed I was sick to my stomach. Then he said I wasnt a "paying customer anyway" I advised him that I was going to fill up my tank because we were on our way to Modesto CA...but I was not going ever spend money at any Valero station again! My Aunt lives down the street from that station she and her family gas up there all the time...my cousin the one who came to help us with the flat also gases up there he lives across the street from the station...Because of this horrible experiance we are spreading the word to our family and friends never to gas up at a Valero again.
