Once you find a rch in your beans, game over. I don't care how famous the bbq is -- there's baby blues in venice that's fantastic, and guess what? No rchs!

Pros: Are you kidding?

Cons: Rhymes with broach in my beans!

J R Bbq has some of the tastiest BBQ this side of the south. The service is hit and miss, but the food will have you coming back anyway. The hotest sauce might make you cry, but worth it! I love the links and the ribs/rib tips.

I really wanted to like this place. I was happy to hear about it since there seems to be a shortage of BBQ restaurants in the area. Unfortunately, I've had better. The food was OK. I ordered the brisket. It came thinly sliced and swimming

Ever since the Los Angeles Times said that Jr's Barbeque was the best barbeque joint on the westside of L.A. this place has smoked. I'd add Benny's BBQ for their incredible hot links & Mr. Cecils on Pico for those legendary beef ribs.

Absolutely the best BBQ food I've had anywhere, and I can't pass a BBQ restaurant without stopping. The atmoshere is ok, but that's not why we go. The location could be better, but I will go out of my way for Bobby's food and hospitality

I don't care who you are...rich, poor, just getting by...JR's is down right the best barbeque around.
Growing up in a lower class family, my sister and I felt right at home at JR's. Paper plates and plastic forks and knives felt like mom

If you're looking for a trendy place or somewhere that gets you in and out in under an hour, then forget JR's. But if you're ready for a relaxed meal with great BBQ food, then give it a try. I love the BBQ pork sandwich (medium spicy),
