The best Vietnamese restaurant in the South Bay. This is not a pho house. Snow, the owner and chef, specializes in family recipes, try her weekly specials. The imperial rolls are the best and probably the most ordered item on her menu. I recommend them as appetizers and her lemongrass chicken which she prepares extra spicy for me. I love that you can watch her prepare and cook your order fresh right there. It's a tiny intimate place worth the drive & drive.

I eat a lot of asian food, particularly Vietnamese. This restaurant did not serve pho, and I wasn't too impressed with what I ordered for takeout.

I've lived in San Pedro my whole life and not once has nams let me down. The imperial rolls and curry are great. Its a little homey restaurant with great service. You have to try the imperial rolls with the curry sauce nams serves. nams only knows one person that eats them that way, but the imperial rolls taste great once they have socked up the curry and wrap in lettuce.

Nobody makes a Vietnamese egg roll like Nams. I've tried a bunch of places in Garden Grove and Westminster but they don't compare. The owner makes the filling everyday at home and then fries them upon order. My kids love their plain chicken dish, something not on the menu. The place is very small, decorated with tacky 80's posters like Miami Vice and the owner is well, um, serious, but she can sure cook.

The tastes are superb. Fresh vegetables, herbs, and spices are used. Service is quick and responsive. Pho with tofu is my favorite - it's a soup with noodles, vegetables, and garnished with lime, hot sauce, and whatever your heart desires and wherever your imagination can take you. It's a small restaurant with a distinctive red door. Street parking.

Forget what you know of Viet Nam cuisine...when we've eaten here there were three women running the show, with a short, but delightful menu. My wife and I have tried most of the menu. The spicy is spicy, but other flavors are delicate and pleasing. The place is small, seating perhaps around 30-36, but the food is generous and tasty, and quite a bargain. This place is a hidden treasure of San Pedro.

Pros: food, kind service, food

Cons: parking
