This park is now under new interim management, thank God!

The interim managers are sweet, caring, kind and respectful. I am sure that any new management they get permanently will be the same. The owners DO care about their residents and I am positive that they will replace the management will caring people.

The residents for the most part are good people who only want to live in peace and enjoy the remainder of their life in peace.

The atmosphere in the park now is more harmonious than it has been in 10 years! The stress level here has diminished quite a lot. People are once again enjoying the outdoors, taking walks and visiting with other residents openly!

Wow! What a refreshing change! It's like living in a new park! God DOES answer prayers!!!!!

Pros: Wonderful residents

Cons: New Management

We have lived in Eldorado Park for nearly 3 years. We have lived in other developments with home owners associations and have discovered that they all have their problems and have residents that disagree. The things we like about Eldorado are: 1) It is safe and secure and is across the street from the police department. 2) it is within walking distance of shopping and Cable airport. 3) It is in the bedroom community of Upland which has one of the finest hospitals in Southern California - San Antonio Hospital. 4) It is close to the Claremont Colleges, to Mt Baldy and to a metrolink station, and has easy access to a freeway. 5) It is a rent-controlled park for senior citizens. 6) There are many wonderful residents with a variety of backgrounds - many admirable and fascinating.

Depending on your status, with the management, determines the rules that are inforced.
Four star park ! ,have you looked at the landscaping , or rather the lack of. It was pulled out over a year ago and is still a mess. What about the the state and county rules and park rules that state any emenity, like pools, putting greens, shuffle boards, must have home owners input to change, you do not even know what that mess in front is going to be. For years it was a eye sore of a putting green, then that was gone and with out any input ,it is being redone into ,what ever the owner approves. The owner is whom is at fault, Management works for him.
Most seniors are not willing to put there head on the chopping block, and complain
It is true that you need to read ,sign and follow park rules. But they need to be the same for all.
The rude comment was made before if you do not like it move. Well that can go both ways, you can stop your spying, and informing on your neighbors.

Rebuttal to Review No. 1:
We have been residents of Upland Eldorado Mobile Home Park for 30 years, having purchased our home in January of 1978. During our time here we have had several managers, some good, some so neglectful that the park became dirty, with weeds growing, quite unpleasant.

When Rex and Pat Frazier began managing, the first priority was to bring the park up to the 5-star appearance we had all treasured. We have always found their treatment to be fair and courteous, without fail.

After Rex's death, management transferred to Pat alone. Those who voice complaints and are unhappy here seem to be new residents who sign an agreement acknowledging the park rules and then invariably, within a few months begin defying the very agreement they have signed. Those who state they would not have moved here had they known it would be so unsatisfactory would be well advised to investigate before they sign the agreement. The rules are created to make this a pleasant place for us ALL to live.
"Why can't we all just get along?"

If any fault rests with Pat Frazier it is in her difficulty in coping with the shouted demands and complaints directed toward her. Many of the complaints (e.g. the trash barrels) are outside of Pat's purview to solve. She has the support of the owners of the park and of the majority of us who have lived here for a substantial amount of time. Newcomers who are so disgruntled are welcome to move to another park and let us live in peace.

Pros: Best looking park in the area. Majority of residents happy with ambience, life here.

Cons: New residents who complain all the time, refuse to abide by signed agreement.

The manager of this mobile home park is so cruel to the seniors that live there that she is now called the Wicked Witch of the West. She is actually causing great mental and physical stress to the residents, which is causing them health problems.

She evicted one elderly woman because the woman was hospitalized and missed a month's rent. She paid the rent in full when she returned from the hospital, but the manager would not accept it.

The manager forced all the resident's to trade in their small trash can with medium size trash cans which they cannot handle on their own. She over charged them for the larger trash cans 3 months before they received them and refused to give them a refund.

One 81 year old man who has lived there for 15 years is very upset. The manager decided to extend the lot next to his and plowed down all his hedges that he watered and cared for for years.

The residents live in fear and are afraid to complain. This manager could find any excuse to have them evicted. We even check every month to make sure she cashed the rent check so she can't say she never received it.

If you have grandchildren this is not the park for you. One of the newer park residents just moved in and had her grandchildren over. They were playing in her front yard which is close to the club house and the manager screamed at her concerning her grandchildren. These poor residents had to sell their brand new coach and move out so they could have peaceful visits with their grandchildren.

They took out all the landscaping and have not restored it in a year. There are no disabled parking places and much more.

Please do not move into this park until the owner replaces this manager. He is just as guilty of senior abuse to let this go on. It is a shame that these seniors have to have a petition signed and fight for meetings to get simple needs met. No one should have to live in fear.
