# 1) Bay Area Bikes IS owned by a woman (that's me, along with my partner / boyfriend)
# 2) This customer did in fact request a cash refund, not a product exchange, as his review indicates
# 3) Customer did not have a receipt for which he was requesting a cash refund
# 4) Tune-ups at our shop range from $65 to $85, not $250 as his review stated
# 5) Greedy??? This is not the reason anyone with a love for cycling decides to buy a bike shop!

What was true--we did not have a lot on the shelves at the time (as we had just taken ownership of the business 2 weeks prior to this reviewer's visit). However, you should see us now! Lots of bikes and accessories stock are shelves. We are very proud of what we've done with the shop in such a short time. We welcome all City Searchers into our shop to judge for yourselves.

I went to Bay Area Bikes because it was recommended to me as being the first store in the immediate area that was owned by a woman. This is not that store. This is 2 guys who bought the business entirely 2 weeks ago. I bought a tire and an inner tube and pedals. They didn't have the right size tube, so i had to buy the giant puncture resistant tube. The pedals did not fit my bicycle. I tried to exchange them for the right size, unopened in original packaging with store labeled price tag...2 days later...and the store associate told me he couldnt do anything for me. They obviously do not care for customer satisfaction. I was trying to exchange, I wasn't even asking for cash. This is a 10 dollar item...not at all a big issue to me...but I certainly won't be going to Bay Area Bikes for a tune up (~$250!)

Pros: LOTS of room in the store...

Cons: There is very little on the shelves. Terrible customer service skills. Greedy.
