Preferred College Of Nursing

This is a horrible school. The owners are HORRIBLE. Its a family running this school and each of their branches are horrible. Van Nuys, LA, and Carson among others. All is incompetent. They lack communication between themselves and students. This school will screw you over, I guarantee it. I wouldn't be surprised if this school had a lawsuit comin' their way.

Big mistake!!!! This school is the worst LVN school. Every staff has their own way of running the school. Their Director for Student Affairs is one UNFAIR, lunatic lady who's very judgmental, authoritative and once locked up her other students from class. There is no excuse for this behavior...and surprisingly nobody cared from the administrators because she is still the director after so much complains for so many reasons. They have set rules in their student handbook but none of them were ever used. They use old tests with wrong information and wrong answer keys!!! Who would have time to consult a staff just to make sure you passed and not failed because of the wrong answer key? Their clinical schedules are a mess. If you are on Maternity and Pediatrics course, you will be assigned to a nursing home! Isn't that messed up?!! I feel really sorry for us who chose PCN-LA (thinking it's good and cheap) for not having a great clinical opportunity and poor teaching skills from some profs. This school has done nothing good for me except charge me cheap and give me a cheap service. All they emphasize on is proper uniform!!! Funny thing is you see 99% of students in proper uniforms!!! Geeez! Work on your program, staff's professionalism and school's policy!!! No leakage pleaseeeeeeeee!!!

Don't go to this school! No communication between staff members and very unorganized. They don't provide neccessary tools and equipment for the students.

Preferred College of Nursing preferred to get paid CASH ONLY. They have a financial aide department but they don't provide financial aide. I had a co-signer with 800 points in credit and PCN claimed my co-signer didn't pass.
Being a nursing student doesn't mean we are already a nurse. $1,000 or more in cash is too much for the students to pay monthly for a short period of time.

PCN is not good school. They are after the money not helpful with students to complete their courses. They are cheapest among other schools but not even worth it...

I agree with the other reviewer. This place is only concerned with making the bucks, they have poor communication between the staff and students. This place is not the way to go.

Very unorganized, lower cost than most other vocational schools, but definitely not worth it. A language other than English is spoken frequently in front of the students, who only speak English, and that is just not right. This is in class by the instructors and administration. I would not recommend this school to anyone-they don't even have any computers for student use. This school is all about the money and they forget that the students are there to learn about nursing. If we wanted or could teach ourselves we would go on-line and not pay thousands of dollars.
